Re: supersports

Hi Mary,

Hope you are keeping well and look forward to seeing you at some windswept ex: RAF airfield somewhere as soon as...!

Do you say that 5266 MM is a Lawrencetune car as opposed to a Super Sports because it is one of the early batch of high line cars?

Cheers

Re: supersports

Hi Andy, Thanks for posting. This is the same car shown in the posting ' +4 SS for sale with Historic Cars'. It is a road going Super Sports but if anyone wants a pukka racing Plus 4 Super Sports then the ex: Hugh Braithwaite car is for sale in Germany. It is registration number 5266 MM and was orde...

Re: +4 SS for sale with Historic Cars

Gael tells me it was a typo...!

Yes it is chassis number 5122 - originally blue.

Price: 92500 euros

Contact Gael or Guillaume if interested.

But I think you will struggle if you are interested in their beloved Super Sports replica 122 GWP!

Cheers

Re: 1959 Morgan +4 Historic Race Car For Sale – SuperSports Specification

Baby Blue sold for £69,052 including commission.

There were 4 bidders all on the phone for it and bidding was enthusiastic.

It was finally down to two bidders and I think the winning bidder may have had more steam had it gone higher.

Is it anyone we know...?

Dear Peter,

I absolutely agree with Gregs emoji - if only I knew how to make one...!

I do hope you are going to have a word with young Hislop in his shell like?

Your brilliant ramblings are just made for his weekly rag...

Yours aye,

Evening both,

This is the same car that John Clarke posted about this time last year - see his Series 1 for sale in North Yorkshire post...

Re: 1938 MORGAN 4/4 SERIES 1 ROADSTER CHASSIS NO. 551

This is the same car that sold at Matthewsons Auctions up in deepest darkest North Yorkshire last December. There was a thread about it on brakehorsepower and the general consensus of opinion was that it looked to be a very nice Series 1. It has certainly had a lot of money spent on it by the previo...

Re: Griff Griffiths - WANTED Information - Can You Help ?

I was offered an early 1960's (c.1963/64) 4/4 that had belonged to Griff. It was ordered from the factory with a Lawrencetune hardtop - there was no hood frame or hood. It had got several other Griff mods as you would expect. It would have been nice to have restored it back to period race spec. but ...

Hi Andrew, Yes I was thinking exactly the same thing...! Perhaps it is only you and I (and Tony?) who are on the same wavelength?! Hope you and yours are keeping well as we go in to Lockdown 2 - and of course the same goes to all, and not just on this particular thread. All the best everyone, Cheers...

Well what can I say?! I certainly can't add anything to Peters most eloquent and entertaining take on the unfolding day at BDC Silverstone! And I did see Peter whilst waiting for the 'off' in the assembly area bereft of his flashers mac Leigh! When asked 'if he had a light mac?' he replied 'No. But ...

Hi Jochem, Good to hear from you and pleased to hear you and the family are all well. We will miss you at BDC Silverstone this year but I will be upholding honours as I am racing the red Plus 4 in the TT this year. Take care and look forward to seeing you next season - hopefully at Le Mans! Cheers, ...
