Re: Leatherne Bottle Jan 2024
Happy New Year all!
I have dropped the Leatherne Bottle a message to say we plan to visit on Sat 13th Jan and asked them to confirm this is ok. I’m sure it will be fine but will update once I get confirmation.
regards,
Simon

Agree with Barry, looks like Castle Combe - perhaps Camp Corner - was spectator banking not so high then?

Re: supersports
Hi All, I cannot vouch for any cars that came before or after FOJ in terms of build and whether they are or are not a Super Sports. The list of Super Sports I have is, I think, consistent with that posted by John, and FOJ for example is on both lists. I do not know the exact source of my list and I ...

Historic Cars have a +4 SS (chassis number 5122 - on the list of factory Super Sports) for sale - see https://www.historiccars.fr/1962-morgan--4ss.html As always, it's interesting to read the back story when a car like this is offered for sale. Apparently, in this case, we learn the car refused entr...

Re: supersports
FOJ is currently in the 'garaged, accumulating cobwebs' group but hopefully will be out again soon... FOJ and I raced against AR9 343 (DM Historics) at Le Mans Classic 2018. Re: Quentin
sad news indeed. Quentin was a great supporter/enthusiast of anyone lucky enough to be racing a Mog at Le Mans Classic and definitely made the logistics a whole lot easier - hopefully we can raise a glass to him when we return in 2021

Re: 1951 Silverstone relay race
An interesting find Ian. From what I can see from Jake Alderson and Chris Chapman's 'Morgan Sports Cars - The early years' KKC 888 Standard-engined 4/4 4 Seater belonged to Stanley Dyke. However, KKC 888 was not a member of the '51 Silverstone Relay Team? These were Jeff Sparrowe in the ex factory '...
