Re: ex-John McKechnie 1964 4/4

I'm not sure how polite or correct it is to point readers in the direction of another forum website, hopefully in this case it might be justified. The following link has many interesting period pictures and it would appear one of the Morgans pictured is the John McKechnie car. Mark will be able to c...

Re: Where are they Now?

Hi Mark

Sorry - could not make the Leathern Bottle meet this year but look forward to seeing everyone (and Mary's new gloves) sometime in the new year.

Hope the lunch went well, which I am very sure it did.

Cheers

Jim

Re: Where are they Now?

Hi John, No. I am sorry if my wording confused you. There is no confusion with PGP and FLH. The history of FLH has been described above. But you are right PGP was originally a twin spare wheeled cowled radiator Morgan. It was built in June 1954 and was painted ivory. Chassis no: T3129. Peter Marten...

.

Sorry - the car did sell some time ago but I only just realised I should have mentioned so on this listing.

Thank you Bob for the somewhat "coded" message.

Is it one of disappointment or disbelief ?

Re: “Equipe”GTS / AMOC 50’s Sports Cars - 2012

- I think it is no secret that in previous years the "Equipe"GTS series has attracted more than it's fair share of MGBs. However in their 50th year with other series attracting these cars away and I am very sure with the added influence of Duncan Wiltshire, we appear to be appealing owners...

“Equipe”GTS / AMOC 50’s Sports Cars - 2012

- - “Equipe”GTS / AMOC 50’s Sports Cars - 2012 Quite a few things have happened over the past few months and for those who are unaware, the “Equipe”GTS series is now being organised by the Aston Martin Owner’s club and administered by Duncan Wiltshire. A comparatively modest calendar compared to pr...

1966 Plus 4 - 2 seater. LHD.

I have a running and driving 1966 2 seater Plus 4 to sell. British Racing green with Black leather interior. High Body - Wire Wheels. The car looks to be sound structurally, chassis and the body panels appear to be very good, only some original rust coming through here and there. No fresh paint, no ...

Re: FIA Papers

Hi Jochem Mark has replied within the time it took me to compile my own reply - and as far as I understand he has answered your questions correctly. So I will add to it, despite my previously mentioning, being an MSA scrutineer we are often reminded to not submit points of view onto internet forums...

Re: Quaife LSD

Hi Simon. Let us presume we are talking about a period F (1962-1965) GTS car. The basic principles are; Firstly the car was homologated in period. This homologation basically was a declaration made by the manufacturer confirming the required amount of cars had been produced over a required amount o...

Re: 1960’s Plus 8 etc. Brake Callipers and Calliper Carriers

Hi Mary. It is a 1960 Plus 4 which was until recently raced in the USA fitted with Alloy 4 pot Wilwood callipers, the calliper carriers were suitably modified to accept the much wider stud fixing of these callipers. Even so, being a historic car the wire wheel hubs and brake discs remained as per o...
