Re: 1969 Plus 8 356AK92

Hi Jean Christophe, Thanks for your post and photo on the TDF Morgan Plus 8 chassis number R7038 which I found most interesting. Glad to hear that the car has survived the years and been fully rebuilt. I’m now guessing the reason for the car being given a UK registration number (XAB 439G) prior to i...

Re: Fathers & Sons

Thanks for the posts John and trust all is good in Oz. We are extremely lucky to be able to do this although I’m not sure Mandy Is that keen on us being in the same race in two separate cars although two driver races in LEO in the CSCC swinging 60’s are fine by her….. 8-[

Re: Seat regs

Mike,
For what it’s worth I would definitely fit a proper race seat like a Sparco Rev or Evo as It would offer much better protection all round in the event of a shunt....

All Morgan’s will be racing on Sunday. 11 cars in Historic Road Sports, 6 Moss Box Plus 8’s and 5 Plus’s and one Moss Box Plus 8 in 70’s Road Sports. A great series with all sorts of other cars out racing. This is a record entry for Morgan’s in HSCC racing !! Incidentally Chas Windridge won the firs...

Re: 1969 Plus 8 356AK92

Many thanks for posting Mary some fabulous period photos. This might jog a memory....R7038 had a UK registration number prior to being exported which was XAB 439G. I assume it was registered so it could be driven back to France or did it spend some time in the UK being race / rally prepared ? I love...

Re: OCO 738

Well spotted Eddie, interesting to note in “The Heritage years” that the the car was red in in 1960. Alan, I beg to differ but CO was definitely an original Plymouth number and not a Birmingham mark. Look forward to seeing you at BDC we will be in the same race. Sorry I missed you at HSCC Brands Hat...

Re: OCO 738

Hi Alan, OCO registered in Plymouth. I remember seeing your car in bits with Mark Shears in the Cotswolds a few years ago as an unfinished project. When we saw it as a rolling chassis It had a very interesting body (from another car) which was offered up to the chassis which I will tell you about wh...
