Re: RIP Philip Goddard
This is such sad news. Philip was an fine exemplar of what Morgan racing is all about. He was competitive but generous. He wanted to win but he never took racing or himself too seriously. I remember sharing his Plus Eight (his ivory coloured standard one) with him once at Snetterton. He will long be...

Re: Oulton Park photos
Great photos. Thank you.
I note that there are lots of action photos of James Sumner in VMO. Still this car has done a lot of trialling in the past in Barry's hands!

Re: Bob Northover
I am very saddened to hear this news. Although I have never been properly educated i.e. owned a Plus Four, I remember Bob's kindness and selfless enthusiasm when I started racing. I can still see his +4 (?called Poppy) dancing in front of me at my first race at Castle Combe in 1985. I have subsequen...

Re: who what where when
The photo is certainly of the 1985 Castle Combe Morgan race. I remember it well was it was my first ever race. It was about the third of fourth Challenge race. I did not know that much about racing car preparation. Wendy and I arrived in the paddock and parked up next to a chap called TMT. This was ...

Re: Brakehorsepower forum
This is indeed great news. Chris has done so much for the Morgan community despite in recent years living in France and not having a Morgan any more. It was great to see him at Pau a couple of years ago. Thank you Chris. Andy should be a great successor and I am sure will maintain high standards in ...

This is an excellent forum for learned and erudite debates. It allows more in depth discussion than Facebook. It would be good if were to be used more by competitors. Long may it continue.

Re: Web site updates 2018
The leading contenders for the Morgan Challenge Championship are a very moral bunch. My phone his neither rung to encourage me to enter, nor for that matter, rung to discourage me from entering. Do the leading contenders not have 'whips' working for them?

Bob
This is a brilliant idea. I too am 'a survivor' of the 1985 season. My life really did change from the day I arrived at Castle Combe for my first race. I would be happy to ransack my memory to help.

Re: Pomeroy 2017
Tony I thought the best 30/98 drivers started the event and then would find a nice pub just after the start. This winning technique worked very well on the Measham. There is probably a nice pub on the Hanger Straight. Pity the Pom is not at Donington before they knocked down the Redgate pub. Still, ...

Re: 2015 'Holly' Birkett 6-hour Relay
As ever the Birkett was a great event. Morgans For Fun lived up to our name. The constant rain somehow added to the excitement. It was a great pity to see Paul's car injured and a pity that cooling system problems struck two of our team. Jack was magnificent in the wet. Unlike in most races, with th...

Re: Limits of the track
"You cannot be serious. The car was not off". John McEnroe used to be just a tennis expert but after the Olympics he is now an expert in synchronised swimming, beach volleyball and motor racing. I think we will need a 'Hawkeye'.
