Re: Circuit up-date

Peter they are for your ‘team’ – your mechanics, nutritionist, therapist, florist, manicurist and pretty red car polisher. Sailing, wild swimming and football (in one part of Sheffield) all sound attractive alternatives. Impressive entry. Hope it goes well. I will follow on TSL. And no kissing and h...

Re: Circuit up-date

I am posting this as received in an e mail from a centre secretary. Have no idea if it is true. Perhaps those entered have received this info or perhaps Katy can confirm. ''From the MSCC FaceBook page The Morgan Challenge is back! MotorSport Vision have confirmed that spectators will be permitted to...

Re: New Book on the Plus 8

Looking on web I found some excerpts and it looks good. Several pictures of Mary's car including it 'destroyed' at Willhire 24 hours and on three wheels in a production car trial https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=J9LVDwAAQBAJ&pg=PT360&lpg=PT360&dq=1982+willhire+24&source=bl&ots=RLBeKPtihY&sig=ACfU...

Re: +4 Supersport

Ian You are probably aware that there are very few ‘genuine’ factory 1960s Super Sports cars in the UK. A number of cars that race are described as such as they are to the SS spec. Apart from TOK and XRX 1 that race the only regular factory SS race car is Simon King’s FOJ. John Clarke and Jim Deacon...

As hardly anyone uses it I think it should be allowed a peaceful demise.

Re: Coro

Oh dear and well done Jerry.
I have never been to Shelsley, and as you say Bexhill was a race it is a more appropriate answer for this page.
Shelsley belongs on the speed series chat page

Re: Coro

As a diversion I see that on Who wants to be a millionaire the £1m question was : "Which of these iconic races was held first?" A) Le Mans 24 Hours B) Monaco Grand Prix C) Indy 500 D) Isle Of Man TT. Well Jeremy – I read recently in Historic Motoring News that Monaco Historics started late 90s and w...

Re: Coro

Thanks Mary. We know Peter R is alive and well, and Bob Bull has posted 100s of photos on another site, and I spoke to you recently, but what are the others doing (those not desperately trying to work from home) ? Have worked my way through three boxes of theatre and sports and pop concert programs ...

Re: Morgans at Pembrey

As we are enjoying (?) lockdown rather than S’stone I had a rummage and found the results from 27/07/97 and 09/06/02 along with Miscellany reports and will e mail you all this. My note says 2002 was ‘soaking wet’ whereas the report says ‘drying track’. 1997 seems to have been warm and dry so don’t k...

Re: Morgans at Pembrey

Hi Iain Yes I recall going there. And if you look on challenge home page bottom right ‘lap records’ there are records from Pembrey from races July 1997 and June 2002. Records held by Peter Garland, Paul Burry, Kelvin Laidlaw and David James. I can probably find the results from whichever I was at (i...
