Re: Seat regs
Hi Andy / Tony,
I hadn't thought about how the seat would interact with the Hans, it's obvious how it works relating to the belts, but does the seat affect it? I've currently got a belt bar running across the back of the body to attached a 4 point harness.

Re: Seat regs
Jim / Barry / Peter Thanks for your input. It's good to hear a direct confirmation from MotorSport UK (I should have thought to give them a call). Having had a look at the Tillet W1 it looks just the job so will look at getting one of them. I had thought about getting a tonneau to fit over a standar...

Re: Seat regs
Hi Phil / Mary, Thanks for your responses. From what you have said, (& I can't see any contradictory information in the Blue book) I can use (racing in the UK) original or aftermarket seats which do not need to be FIA approved. I would prefer a proper race seat for the support, but don't want to...

Seat regs
Hi, I am thinking of changing my seat and wanted to check what the regs are for circuit racing (in case I get sorted to give it a go). Reading the Blue Book, sections J 5.3 (vehicles), K 2.2 (Safety) & Q19.3 (circuit racing), there does not appear to be a requirement for FIA approved seats. Do I...

Re: Evans Waterless Water
Hi Mary, yes, thanks for the articles, I've sent you a reply. Having sorted the faulty gauge thanks to Barry, and considering Tony's experience and the lack of any positive feedback I think I'll steer clear of it. With the gauge working, I'll see how much of a problem it really is. Thanks all for yo...

Re: Evans Waterless Water
Barry, thanks for your suggestion, the voltage regulator was indeed the cause of the faulty gauge.
I would still be interested in any feedback on the Evans waterless water.

Re: Evans Waterless Water
Thanks all for putting the feelers out. Any feedback would be appreciated. I'll give Northants a call and see what they say. It stems from a potential overheating that may or may not be there. Pre-Covid, my temperature gauge was showing very hot after only a short run. Tried swapping senders, still ...

Evans Waterless Water
Hi,
Does anyone use Evans Waterless water in competition? I was thinking of putting it in but looking at the Talk Morgan forum, no one seemed overly convinced and someone said it was as bad as oil if it leaked onto the track.
Thanks
Mike

Re: Brakehorsepower forum
Hello Mary and all the other Racers out there. I am one of the silent many, but mainly because I don't do the circuits. As some may be aware I have been competing in hillclimbs and sprints for many years. I am a regular viewer of the site and it would be a great shame if it stopped. Seeing this as a...

Manifolds and silencers now gone.
Anyone want to make an offer on any of the other bits?
