Re: HSCC

It was a really great race, and for 20 minutes with the 3 SLRs together it was a historic moment. Re: SLR Fest 16th May Silverstone

A weekend of drama far more interesting and less political than that which seemed to be going on in Monaco.... It was as John says an amazing experience to be a part of. credit goes to everyone for making it happen - to John for getting the silver steed back into racing faster than new owners normal...

Re: Awards for the 2009 season

Mmmm - does the Orebi Gann +4 Supersports count? original chassis original body since 1963/4 for a car which has had extensive racing since then including 5 races this year (inc a few pots) she is pretty original. certainly passes the Old No 1 test for originality. as for the driver, no claims made.

Re: The Fabulous SLRs

Simon, You would be welcomed with OPEN ARMS at the Jim Tucker Race at Brands. Let John Clarke or myself know. Are you in touch with John Atkins, a good friend of mine? All the best, Guy Loveridge might be very interested though it will depend on the whole race calendar which we are just trying to s...

Re: The Fabulous SLRs

Hi folks - let me start with a confession..... I have only just realised that I should have an interest in parts of brakehorsepower other than the Morgan Challenge.....in particular, that the SLR might get comments under the +4 heading  Hence the rather delayed response to the postings! thank ...

Looking at the results today with all the benefit of hindsight, if poor Andy's engine had held up, his team would have scored 2-3 more laps....and could have been the race winners. very unlucky. everyone did just great, and the smiles afterwards made it all worthwhile. I have lobbied Robin Knight to...
