Re: Algarve Historic Festival - 16 to 18 October

Thanks for the info Phil. Explains silence from Masters on that front.

Good to meet you at bbq, btw!

Sounds like whole season in Portugal and Spain, then..........

Re: Algarve Historic Festival - 16 to 18 October

Also just back- late last night after having gone on to Monteblanco after Algarve. Portimao was fantastic, as it was last year, and has to be one of those tracks that draws you back...... Good 90 minute GD race, 100% reliability from all 4 Morgans again, with all on same lap at end. A few racers inc...

Re: Wet at SPA

Thanks Tony, for these "happy" memories.......... BillW actually had a camera in the car for the race but apparently all you can "see" at the start is a completely foggy white-out with some idiot (me) with no hands on the wheel trying to wipe the windows!! Spent the GD race wond...

Re: Ralph Broad

Hi Phil

I am glad you are organising the tribute. Vince W said earlier in the season that he was bringing his Capri and if the Jag XJC is racing as well that is two genuine cars. If there is not a more suitable Escort would be honoured to be involved.

Re: Ralph Broad

Very sad news indeed. I met Ralph last year at Portimao as was racing my Gp2 Escort alongside the Broadspeed built Capri of Vince Woodman. Ralph took time to compliment the period presentation of my car, and I have a treasured photo of the 3 of us together after prizegiving. Fitting then that as wel...

Re: Grand Prix de L'Age D'Or. Dijon 19th/ 20th June

Thanks Mark- Definitely 7th, 11 seconds behind  Great that after an hour all 4 finished on same lap. The speed of the Plus 4s opened a few eyes- I lost count of the amount of locals reading the badge to see what the car was..... 2nd time out and first visit as driver to the lovely Dijon circui...

Re: Double Masters Header in Iberia

Hi Phil I raced in the Algarve Festival last year and am definitely returning for the double header this coming Oct! It was a fantastic event and I would encourage anyone who can bear the transport costs for getting car there to do it. Fabulous circuit, hotels on the beach, sun all weekend, amazing ...

Re: Plus 4 Redux

Thank you Mark, Richard and all others who have looked at this thread. Having watched you all racing, and been made welcome on the occasions that I have, am sure will have great fun in the Plus 4- which, for me, is what Historic racing is all about! Off topic, Richard, but hopefully the mods will be...

Re: Plus 4 Redux

I understand that the ex-Bill Wykeham Plus 4 (the light blue car) has been bought by a Norfolk farmer (no, not that one) and will be out racing next year. Good news. Hi everyone and Happy New Year to you all! I wasn't sure if Chris was taunting me to register and post or trying to keep the rest of ...
