Re: Where are they Now?
Good Morning Bruce, Peter Marten tells that the hardtop was bought from Neil Dangerfields brother and was, as you mention, from a TR3. It was too wide and modified by Chris Lawrence by "cutting and shutting". The brown stripe down the middle of the black top was to cover up the join!!! Pet...

Re: Where are they Now?
Dear Machiel, Sorry to have to correct you but it is not Peter Marten!!!!!!!!!!!! If you read my detailed text, with the photo, you will see I name the driver as Bill Jones!! Bill bought the car from Peter in March 1962. The date of the meeting, again in my text, was 5th May 1962. The car is, as you...

Re: Where are they Now?
Hi Mark,
This is a better picture of PGP123/ 550DXN at an AMOC Meeting at Silverstone 05.05 1962.
Bill Jones is driving the car.
The reg no has been hand painted, and not very well!!!!
This is in the records I have prepared for Simon.
Best Regards,
Ken

PGP 123/550DXN 550 DXN (2).JPG This is a photo of PGP 123/550 DXN at Goodwood in 1962. This was the colour of the car as bought from Peter Marten. It is obviously a Le Mans start and the driver running to the car is the then owner Bill Jones. The car was bought on the 4th March 1962 and the change o...

Re: Where are they Now?
Good Morning Mark, So kind of you to get in touch. I have emailed Jim Lowry with my email address k-foley@sky.com who has passed it on to Simon Gurney. If Simon contacts me I will be only too willing, with Simons agreement, to keep everyone in the loop that's interested. I have 8mm footage, now on D...

Re: Where are they Now?
Dear All, I realise that the thread I am answering goes back to 2014 but if anyone is still interested in PGP 123 I can fill in the years, very comprehensively, from '62 to '70. I was with W.H. (Bill) Jones when he bought the car from Peter Marten. I know why the car was painted green and I also now...
