Re: Sale of MMC

Hi Bob, Yes you are right - that is what private equity firms do. The slippery slope indeed. Talking of Morgans for sale - did your friend get in touch with the vendors of the ex: Kremers,Phillips Plus 4? I understand it is only slightly cheaper than buying the whole company - and in euros too! Chee...

Re: Identiy Please.

Hi Bob,

I know all about this car - and who owns it.

It was indeed the Kremers car and then David Phillips.

If you want to send me an email please do and I can put you/ your'friend' in touch with the vendor! (A good friend of my son!)

Cheers

Re: Tupperware Morgan

Hi Jochem,

We painted it in its original colour.

It was the standard Morgan red of the period - called Crimson red.

Re: Tupperware Morgan

Happy New Year Jochem (and Mary!)

Did you sell the car through the Car and Classic website? I saw your advert.

Hope you have a good season and look forward to seeing you again on this side of the channel!

Cheers,

Re: +4s at Australian Diamond Morgan Muster

Hi John,

Great to hear from you.

Many thanks for sending over the Series 1 and Plus 4 pix.

Yes I love that mascot too!

Some very nice and very interesting cars.

Did you meet up with Richard Plant at this meeting?

He will have been looking out for Moss box Plus 8's...!

Cheers,

Re: 1937 Morgan 4/4 back on the road after 47+ years

It looks beautiful Colin - love the colour. And spotted the original UK number plate... There has got to be a reason for the steering to wander and it must be fixable. I can't imagine the race boys would race their Series 1's with wandering steering. As Simon says stick with it. It would be a shame ...

Re: Wanted. Scuttle roll bar

I think in MHO it would be a false economy.

They can be a pig to fit at the best of times and unless it is exactly the correct size for your model and year of Morgan you could end up buying two...!

Re: Morgan badges at Bonhams

Hi Tony,

The speedboat sold rather well...!

The "competition" Plus 4 not at all and the Plus 4 Drophead Coupe sold below bottom estimate...

Re: Morgan badges at Bonhams

Hi Simon, Hope you are keeping well. Thanks for linking through to the Morgan interest on the Bonhams website for their forthcoming auction. I am not sure the 1959 Plus 4 is "ready to resume its competition career"! However if anyone is interested I do know a little about it's background... Cheers M...

Re: Memories to Cherish

Happy memories indeed... It was my first ever race. Whatever happened to motor cycle racer David Threadingham's Plus 4? I know TR 4 racer John Andon bought it and had it repainted from the bright green and black duo colour scheme to dark green and then sold it through Richard Thorne. But where is it...

Hi Bob, ...and you know I appreciate your photographs. I always look at them. You will like this months Miscellany - no wonder Philip wants to send you his copy... There is a very good half page photograph of our very photogenic red Plus 4 being driven by yours truly at Chateau Impney...! Maybe he i...

Re: Web site updates 2018

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!

What a nice surprise to see you at VSCC Donington on Sunday.

Have a lovely day - I won't tell how many candles there will be on your cake! The Fire Service would have to prepare a Risk Assessment!

Cheers
