Re: Donington

Thanks for the heads up Bob!

You should also be on the look out for Mr. Tisdall...!

We may need our sun cream!

Re: Le Mans Classic 2016

Thank you for the heads up Peter.

I suppose they had a 1 in 3 chance of getting the drivers name right - and they got it wrong!

Coincidentally I was racing with Robi Bernberg only the other week but he was in an Austin Healey Sprite and not the Deep Sanderson.

Re: 1966 Le Mans Morgan +4

Brilliant research Andy! I agree with you and John that the SLR would have been the most likely candidate - and importantly Bruce thinks so too. After all this was exactly what CL developed it for - to beat those blessed Porsche 904 and 906's. He knew the brick Morgans were now past their internatio...

Re: 1966 Le Mans Morgan +4

Amazing! I didn't know that John. I would have thought if it was any perpendicular Morgan Plus 4 it would have been one of the TOK Plus Fours. XRX 1 had been sold to the Hon. Basil Feilding by then (and fitted with a Daimler Dart V8 engine) but CL was still running a Plus 4 with the TOK registration...

Re: Annual Lunch

Hi Guys - first day home and I am sorry to have to tell you that I cannot now join you on Saturday. My aged aunt is going to be 101 on Saturday and my parents have decided (while I have been away in China) that we should celebrate it. This means that I will have to drive them to my aunt as my parent...

Great pictures Bob.

Not a glint of 'red eye' to be seen...!

Re: 1953 Plus 4 and 1974 Plus 8 - Auction

Very interesting Andy. Thank you for the info.

Apparently the interim cowl Plus 4 was bought by a new Morgan dealer based in the Midlands and is to be restored...

Re: Annual Lunch

Sounds good to me John.

And it is a week before the Bentley Drivers Club annual Competitions Day at BDC headquarters, Wroxton near Banbury.

What about it then - Saturday 20th January 2018 at The Leathern Bottle at Lewknor...

Re: Relatives

Hi Peter, Well researched! But I must point out that Suzanne is a) not my wife and b) her surname is nearly the same as mine but without an H. I did however introduce her to my sister Susan at BDC Silverstone a couple of years ago to keep the names even more confusing...! Suzanne Sears meet Susan Sh...

Re: 5 Nov Silverstone

Bruce Stapleton we know.

Robert Bull we know.

But Florence Walker has just passed her Ards Test and is having her first race.

And in what better car than the ex: Jeff Stow/John MacDonald YSK 899 Plus Four sold recently at Bonhams to Sam Thomas.

Go girl...!
