Snetterton

I thought it advisable to inform fellow entrants to the forthcoming race at Snetterton that there may well be a surfeit of waived white flags. Many of you will recognise that the white flag is synonymous not only with the Italian and French Armed Forces but more importantly, in motor racing under FI...

Re: Web site updates 2019

Beware!! it could be that Messrs Butterworth are fiendishly clever. They raced under false pretences. A quite blatant deception that went unnoticed Towit, No 47 belongs to the pretty red car in class J . Either that or they half=hinched it and surreptitiously resprayed it in Bumble's old colours. Th...

Re: Donington

Very apt Jack. The attractive Physiotherapist in residence at the Hospital paid particular attention to the damaged Glutes.
However, on an other note it is sad to read that Roger Whiteside was injured in an incident at Donington. I hope he recovers quickly.

Re: Donington

Thank you all for your kind comments. My cup runneth over. The return to my rightful starring role on the grid is merely my charm ,wit and silver tongue versus medical orthodoxy. Presently its a bit like peeing into the wind. In any event I rely on you all to uphold the fine standards of racing and ...

Donington

Although I am in the listings of entries for the Donington weekend, regretfully I have had to scratch. I have recently received a new total hip replacement. As a consequence I had initially spotted an opportunity, not for praise or sympathy, but unbeknown to all to gain precious few seconds in a fly...

Re: Mallory Park

Mary, in asking “hold the pose “ Bob, exponent exceptionelle of the daguerreotype, to write an article as well as practice his dark arts, are you not in danger of creating a major conflict? I have just revisited the seminal Film of the Boulting Bros “I’m All Right Jack” which tilted at class distinc...

Re: Ramblings from Oulton park

Mary mercifully allowed some additions and corrections to my ramblings before posting it on the website under Race reports. I missed Simon King but as it was the HSCC which showed Tisdell/King assumed it was BB King. I had noted the plurals Plant & Pearce. I would have been impressed if the driver o...

Re: Ramblings from Oulton park

ps Also absent was Greg Parnell who was reportedly searching his garage at home for a lost 5th gear ( he could go straight from 4th to 6th no! ) Oh, and Young Alex Laidlaw put in an appearance to support Pater. A lovely Plus 4 entered in another race stood forlorn, pitifully abandoned , for the whol...

Ramblings from Oulton park

Oulton Park, Anno Domini 2019. Secreted in the heartlands of Cheshire, a County ostensibly infested with overpaid premiership footballers from an adjacent Metropolis, lies a gem of a race circuit. It is hidden a short distance from the Cheshire Polo Ground should one prefer equine pursuits as oppose...

Re: How do I go faster

I was able to persuade the lovely Katy to accept a late entry for Oulton this weekend where I hope the weather will not necessitate the appearance of the President’s Consort overcoat. Apparently i was mis-sold on the idea of bow thrusters. These scoundrels who prey on the vulnerable, they are almost...
