Re: Hardtop Moss Box +8

Could be Mark. I saw his hardtop when I collected my wings last year. He sends them somewhere else to be trimmed, as far as I can remember.

Re: Hardtop Moss Box +8

erm, differ again! ( a bit!) Sid has a hard top mould, but I will grant you it might not be Rutherfords! But it might be!

Re: Hardtop Moss Box +8

Sid Watson might be the one to ask: he took Dave Rutherford's moulds.

Re: Sidescreens Wanted

Definitely restorable: the ali frames are ok, and straight. No felt runners, no perspex (but I could get some for you from my plastic suppliers just down the road)
offers invited!

Re: Sidescreens Wanted

I have a pair of tatty sidescreens: I was planning on practicing my welding on them. Frames are ok, one steel bracket thingy broken, have two new brackets, aluminium panels will flatten out. I was going to fit new windscreen brackets that'd rake the screen back a bit more, but none of the holes line...

Awards for the 2010 season

I am now totting the points up, and am a tad sad that the Quarter Century Cup might gather dust under my bed. To be considered for this, three out of chassis, tub, bodywork, engine, gearbox and rear axle must be original (you might get away with being replaced with a part of a similar vintage) How ol...

Re: Class B +8 for sale

Sorry to hear that Dangerous is leaving the sprinting fraternity: we have thoroughly enjoyed his company over the years, and will especially miss his trailer when it rains.

Re: MSCC Autosolo, August 8th

I am pretty sure there is a demand Leigh. I spoke to a few at a noggin last night who took part at Gaydon, who think, like me, that it is a brilliant way for Mog owners to have real fun in their cars without having to spend a wadge on helmets, suits, now gloves and next year whatever the nerds at th...

Re: MSCC Autosolo, August 8th

Well said Jack. I let my two toddlers loose in my Mog, both had 'done' a Sprint Taster day a couple of years back, daughter had hardly driven the car since, son had driven it to and from Le Mans Classic. I, as Awards Officer was asked to announce the winners yesterday: and in the novice class, daugh...

Re: MSCC Autosolo, August 8th

I don't think so Mary: this uses only forward gears, the one we did at Cheltenham consisted of three different 'circuits', you have three goes at each, and three goes in the other direction. I think autotets include reversing, and 'garage parking', like gymkhanas, though I could be wrong.

Interested?

MSCC Autosolo, August 8th

Entrants needed! See here for details http://www.mscc.uk.com/regsautosolo2010.pdf This is the new craze sweeping the UK, and the MSCC: your motoring club, has taken a big step to organise this event at Gaydon. There are classes for novices and experts, though in this case, 'experts' are folks like u...

Re: Plus 8 Hard top

I am pretty certain that Sid Watson makes hardtops: saw one when I collected my wings a couple of months back. I think he makes the basic roofs, and they are trimmed elsewhere.
