Re: How do I go faster

Good morrow, Peter. Oh, I can imagine the fanfare- the drumroll in the Queen's Funeral March Z 860 (it says here, on Outhere recording RIC 332) would have been excellent, especially to your practiced slow paced entrance. But however much I look on the website I have so far failed to find a glossy ph...

Re: How do I go faster

Good morning RFB. Having been informed that the aforementioned black suited, black helmeted, and no doubt black gloves might not attend the first few races I was surprised to find the name Peter Rafter on the timing website as I watched the races unfold, and more surprised to find Sharlie and Peter ...

Re: How do I go faster

Well researched, Peter. My view out of the classroom window was of the Langdale Pikes, which would have a lasting effect on my life, from then to now. Just after the war, (don't ask which!) my Geography teacher, we discovered much later, was the ex Captain of the Frigate that brought the King of Nor...

Re: How do I go faster

Welcome back, Peter. So you finally made it to the Red Rose County for some well earned R&R. Did you go as an emissary, for I understand the Tykes are trying to steal more of what's left of our beloved county? I remember when there was also a Westmorland and Cumberland, meeting at the top of Wry...

Re: How do I go faster

Oh Dear, Oh Dear, Oh Dear. This time last year a certain Mr. Rafter, of our acquaintance, castigated me for not appearing at the pre-season track day, organised by the excellent Thornies of James Lane, to show him how to change from second gear into third, in which he appeared to be permanently stuc...

Re: How do I go faster

Do they have Yorkshire tea in Wiltshire? We could put it to the test- 'Terms and Conditions' applying, of course.

Re: How do I go faster

Perhaps, upon reflection, Bob, you may be correct. Peter, being the Gentleman that he is, wouldn't dare put anyone else above your good self in the pecking order. You are one of the 'Terms and Conditions, that apply to his offer.

Re: How do I go faster

Good morning Peter. I thought a quick reply may be in the offing. What does a vet have to do to go faster? Don't answer that. Time will tell. Yes I may take you up on your kind offer, having thought of you many times this year as we have passed by Sheffield on our way to Selby. However, our commitme...

Re: How do I go faster

And, finally, dear Piotr, the answer lies in your bank account. A trip to Techniques Morgan would enable you to buy a pretty black car which you may have watched overtake you many times. Does the number 10 ring any bells?

Re: Web site updates 2018

How about 'Dore'en in the Pretty Red Car' ? I have noticed in Mr. Bull's excellent photos of your travails this year that in one photo you appeared to be driving as they do in France, with another Morgan driving in the opposite direction, and in another that a 'White Van Man' was gaining rapidly on ...

Re: How do I go faster

Evening, Tyke. The answer to your ambition lies in the saying, 'The older I get, the faster I was'. There is some truth in that, for in 2010 at Snetterton you finished 17th out of 31, a position not achieved since. However, it was not in your present car. The answer to your problem is to revert to u...

Re: How do I go faster

Mea culpa, Peter. However, in my defence, I had taken the trouble to inform rtcc that I wouldn’t be in attendance to watch your miraculous go-faster efforts. In actual fact I was oooooop north, having by-passed Hallam, and coming to terms with the fallout from ‘The Beast from the East’.

Re: How do I go faster

Perhaps, Peter, you'll be able to try your new booster propeller at Castle Combe on the 6th March?

Might just see you there.
