Many thanks for posting Mary some fabulous period photos. This might jog a memory....R7038 had a UK registration number prior to being exported which was XAB 439G. I assume it was registered so it could be driven back to France or did it spend some time in the UK being race / rally prepared ? I love...

Well spotted Eddie, interesting to note in “The Heritage years” that the the car was red in in 1960. Alan, I beg to differ but CO was definitely an original Plymouth number and not a Birmingham mark. A truly great book many congratulations. The book was at home on my return from Classic Le Mans, I have now read it from cover to cover, some great photos and lots of new info. A throughly good read and can recommend it to others.
