Re: Serie I register

Good evening Machiel, I note your suggestion about a Morgan Classic Group, particularly for cars built to 1968. I assume you mean a form of Register for specific models. There are of course Registers for "Le Mans 62", "Aero 8" and "Centenary Roadster 100" cars albeit th...

Re: 1971 Rutherford Morgan 'Modsports'

Mark,
The advert states it as a +8, but if you go to the eBay advert it says the engine is 2000cc ?? I do recall Robin Gray racing a +8, but wasn't aware David Rutherford had prepared this car, I always thought he developed the racing 4/4.
Best Regards,
Eddie Singleton.

Re: Willhire 24

Good morning Mary, I notice the 1981 team included a Mike Robson. Was this the same Mike Robson who resided in the Oldham/Manchester area and was chair of the local north west group in or around that time. If so, I recall he had a red/orange coloured +4 which was quite a quick car. I have some photo...

Re: Where are they Now?

Hi Mary, If you have the book "Completely Morgan Four-wheelers 1936 to 1968" by Ken Hill, you will see the car referred to on page 78, including 3 photos. The book says the car was owned by a German enthusiast, book publication was 1994, so almost 20 years old that reference. Mark is corre...

Re: Goodwood Revival

Andy, Great photos of the 2 Morgans. You asked about MVJ 101, well I don't know if you have a copy of "MORGAN The Heritage Years 1954-1960", if so, on the assumption the car and registration have remained as one throughout, it is mentioned in the years 1955 to 1958. Look for the name of Jo...

Re: Goodwood Revival

Awfully sorry Bruv, not able to assist on this occasion. The cost of hire of the 50's outfit for the Revival weekend (£35 !!) and the purchase of a second hand spotlight for my newly restored +4 Coupe, have wiped me out.

Re: Goodwood Revival

Bob and Mark, Yes, I, Singleton Jnr. (from way UP NORTH, we do occasionally go south of Birmingham!!) will be there on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately I will not have the privilege of corporate hospitality nor freeby meals in the media mess tent but will have to slum it in the Woodcote Grandstand...

1956 Morgan +4 Fiberglass One-Off Sports Racer

I am not a regular on this board, but thought people might be interested to read about a +4 Sports Racer in America, now housed in a collection. Some of you may know about it and others may not, so for the latter, take a look at "forgottenfiberglass.com" and search Morgan +4. An interestin...

Guy,

I have in my +4 photographic collection, a picture of AMX at Windemere in August 1986.
Can email it to you if you wish but will require your email address.

Re: Information sought on Plus 4 Reg. no.: VLD 2, now 235 HU

Are we talking the +4, reg. 235 HYU, and not these other variations of the reg number? If so, I have already sent via email, some time last year, a picture of the car to Peter Mulberry. I photographed it at Silverstone, Bentley Drivers Club meeting on 24 August 1974. It had just been retrieved from ...

Wanted Front Bumper Brackets

I am looking for a pair of front bumper brackets to fit my 1966 +4 Coupe. I have the bumper and tube assembly. Any condition considered, can be cleaned and powder coated. Also pair of front bumper over-riders, can be chromed.

Re: Wanted Side Screens

Afternoon Brother and Mark, Here we are again, nothing standard about the Morgan marque/specification. So we have 1960's cars fitted with different side screen specs, fixed celluloid windows or sliding Perspex panels. John Teague in his book "Morgan Plus 4 Superprofile" talks about :- - in...

Re: Wanted Side Screens

To Bob Northover, Bob, I spoke with Terry at Gee's yesterday who tells me you have borrowed early side screen patterns from him. Are you intending to have a pair made or make them yourself? I would be interested to know how you go on and if you are having a pair made, then at what cost including the...
