Re: Silverstone Classic (25-27 July)

Just back from the Silverstone Classic when Morgan's again covered themselves in glory. I had spent a few weeks in Normandy after Le Mans and was up at Brians on Friday to pick up the Series 1. The head had been back off and a couple of exhaust valves replaced (again from the comprehensive spares ch...

Re: Le Mans Classic

Another epic at Le Mans for the Series 1 - the little car has now completed close to 200 laps of the famous circuit. All the rain we were expecting never materialised and our speeedy pilotes, Tony, Richard and Leigh put in blistering laps for qualifying. Can't say who was quickest but they're a comp...

Re: HSCC - Brands Hatch Historic Superprix 28-29th June

Well, the huge turn out of Mogs didn't materialise....they missed a cracking circuit...its right up there with Donington as best UK circuit. The HRS saw Bruce Stapleton take pole, with yours truely a lowly 24th and Mark S a bit further back. Thought must take a brave pill for the extremely fast corn...

Re: HSCC - Brands Hatch Historic Superprix 28-29th June

Hi Jonathon Ican't get to Brands till the Saturday morning (early!!!) but hope to stay till later into the evening. Sadly, can't do Pembrey as clashes with Le Mans Classic. Next outing for my +4 will be BDC meeting for the TT. Brands looks like a bumper entry of Mogs: HRS (grid of 39 cars!!) 4 Bruce...

Re: Le Mans Classic 2008

Mark was out in this TR2 at the MG Car Club International meeting at Silverstone for a shake down. Have to say, 30 minutes battling with an Alfa was some shakedown Mark!! Was good to watch and pleased to see that the Alfa was behind at the end. Tony Lees and Richard Plant are at Silverstone Tuesday ...

Re: See Red

Castrol R, Jim? I bet you even remember the doppler effect of the old 500cc cars.
Do we really want to go down the route of oily old 500cc cars.....it just so happens..........but then again I think we've been there before.

HSCC - Brands Hatch Historic Superprix 28-29th June

The next round for HSCC racers is the Historic Superprix meeting on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit. I, for one, have never managed to race on the GP circuit so I have been eying up this meeting for some time. Any hints or suggestions on how to get round would be gratefully received. More detail...

Re: HSCC - Snetterton 31st May or See Red Donington

Hard luck Mark, Richard and Paul. Couldn't see Simon on the results either nor the +4 in the 3 hour race. I assume they were no shows. Better luck seems to have been had by Oliver Phillips and Bruce Stapleton - lap times v.impressive. Both would have beaten the lap record held by Peter Horsman in hi...

Re: HSCC - Snetterton 31st May or See Red Donington

Good luck to all the Morgans at Snetterton this weekend - there's a bumper entry. I hope to be back for the Brands GP round. I hear the following have entered (probably not complete) 60's Historic Road Sports Morgan +4 Simon King Morgan +4 Mark Hoble Morgan +8 Bruce Stapleton Morgan +8 Oliver Philli...

HSCC - Snetterton 31st May or See Red Donington

Has anyone entered this meeting? It clashes with the VSCC See Red meeting.
