Max Mosely

A few years ago the Clubmans Series celebrated it's 40th. anniversary at the 8 Clubs Silverstone Meeting with a number of races and a parade of cars representative of the history of the formula. Amongst those taking part was Max Mosely President of the FIA, who started his career in Clubmans, and he...

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

Tony,
While I am flattered, if that will be the highlight of See Red for you, I think you might like to take a long hard look at your life.

I will look forward to meeting you in the flesh as we have already met virtually, and just hope it is not too big a disappointment.

Kind regards,

The Reporter.

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

Chris, I understand that he whole matter is being thrashed out as we speak, and El Presidente is whipping up support for his stance. It was believed he would take it on the chin, but apparently he has other preferences, and in any case it all happened behind his back, making him the butt of some fai...

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

Relief, I can come out from under the blankets, sanity is restored!! Many thanks to Chris for his investigative skills, but ..... what sort of a cad would hide behind a woman? Traducing her good name . The bounder should be horsewhipped, but he would probably enjoy that, some people max out on such ...

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

Suzanne, I am truly mortified (and puzzled) did I really publish a photo of a lady out of shape? Such ungentlemanly behaviour, my late Mum would not have approved atall! Please accept my sincere apologies for the oversight. Puzzled? I was not aware of any Suzanne Sears on the entry list or in the fi...

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

Richard, You can download the pictures directly from the site as you please, I tried it myself and actually downloaded one so it must be easy, if not of course, we shall refer you to Chris Acklam who knows everything. Alternatively I can send you a CD or even a DVD, which can hold almost a whole sea...

Powernights Correction

Sorry, everyone, but I apparently misunderstood the Powernights organiser; the voucher offer is one per group not per entrant, however, they would be very keen to see a bunch of Morgans enter and would be prepared to offer some incentive probably one free entry or some such gesture. Obviously the mo...

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

Chris, The new album is a collection of pictures from various events not just the HSCC meeting, but who cares? You can see I am trying to get away from lots of boring snaps of cars racing, and include those charming paddock shots so beloved of artistic types - like what I am. John, What's a schedule...

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

Thanks Chris - sorry I asked.
Perhaps I'll stick to the written word. How can I add pics to the original site that you set up for me? It would be better to place some of the Morgan snaps there, rather than on the public site.

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

Yes Mark, I got him, all over the grass, but he was not the first (see picasaweb.google.co.uk/rbmapics) so don't worry Jonathon even winners get it wrong sometimes and JC was a little wide at least once and you can tell from the pics. Plenty of Morgan shots and I hope they are pleasing to all of the...

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

While I was trying to work out, unsuccessfully, how to insert a photo into my last post JC got in ahead of me, so now we know what went wrong. How do you include a picture in a message? I click the insert picture icon and all I get is numbers! Why can't the geeks who invent these sites realise they ...

Re: HSCC - Silverstone International 10/11th May

Chris, I was at Abbey and John Clarke came round with a simply enormous lead on lap two - Oh! Sorry. That was his FIRST lap, he obviously had a 'Hamilton Moment' somewhere. Thereafter he appeared amongst the pack and diced extremely well against the TRs etc. I presume he waited to be caught and then...

Re: Powernights. Morgan Races?

Chris, Yes! Exactly, a handicap but without any credit laps, so that everyone is on the same lap, just some are more on it than others. The Mazda lads appear to have a regular slot on the menu and they are scratch races, as are Formula Fords, as, I presume all cars are 'equal', but where fields are ...
