Re: Le Mans Classic 2022

Still catching up on sleep and unpacking and on BHP. Thanks for all this interest. Yes my pre war car went very well and on the last race I got back down towards the times of the old days. Conversely the Plateau 2 car was constantly having problems. John – you were there at the first (2002) and you ...

Re: John Peel 4 seater +8 for sale

Thanks – interesting. And considering the uplift when the Mick Jagger car was offered for sale this seems a snip for Peel and Morgan fans (like me). Why did it sit at the factory for so long ? Factory only did a couple of +8 4 seaters – one for Allon White and one (or the same one) with chap at Cran...

Re: The Leatherne Bottle

Someone did mention this recently (Simon King ?). I think usually was mid Jan and I may possibly be away sometime Jan so would prefer Sat 29th Jan or the following couple of weeks.
If no one else replies we can move it to Suffolk !

Re: morgans at Goodwood

Morgans have competed many times at the Revival and also at the more recently introduced Members Meeting. The TR Morgans have finished on podium. One would have to look for the races where they are podium finishers and then find the video of that race. Pre war Morgans have also raced but aren’t fron...

Re: My First Race (Morgan Challenge or other)

Bob – people pay to read my ramblings ?

I am not looking for any employment thank you – although to digress I did once go to a young lady’s party and only later find out that her father was one of the heroes of motor sport journalism.

I will e mail you

Re: Morgans & sports cars in competition

If you scroll down at the bottom there is a heading called ‘Thoroughbred Sports Cars’ which I think was from the days when the race day usually included both a Morgan race and a mixed sports car race under the heading of ‘Thoroughbred Sports Car’ Series and for a few years some drivers (particularly...

Re: My First Race (Morgan Challenge or other)

Good article John & Bob and thanks to Bob the mag is becoming the Morgan race magazine with his analysis of past winners, an article by Mark Shears, and a competition by Bob and Peter Cole. Also a reference to Jeremy Holden rolling his Mog at Donington – and driving home in it after. And an arti...
