Re: Where are they now?
When I gave Mary the pictures she failed to recognise me at first and described as a 'nice gentleman', but she soon realised her mistake. With regard to the pictures, the black car was snapped at an HSCC Meeting at Silverstone in 2003, so is not too old. The other two are just from a mass of old pic...

Re: Classic Motor Show - 2008
Note to members; Having had cause to complain about my own thread being hi-jacked (HSCC Report V Birkett) I am rather upset to see my entirely innocent remark re- BOTG, has caused the original theme of the Classic Car Show to be overwhelmed by fragrant memories from assorted drivers better know for ...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.
Hi! Jerry, The safety car period was so long that you could have stopped to say hello to the dubious looking media types at Abbey, and still won the motor race. Chris and I did manage to catch Andrew Potter's eye and get a wave back, a couple of laps later while walking towards Bridge we heard a 'to...

Tennis Racket for Sale
I have decided, in the face of much ridicule, to dispose of my 1956 vintage, tennis racket. It features a long handle with a wide bit at the top and lengths of string in the form of a net across the wide bit (imagine a frying pan that has rusted badly). Because I never had the balls to use it, it is...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.
OK! I got it wrong, but as I have said before, it does not matter how you spell it on the radio!!
Still no excuse for sloppy grammar so thank you Jerry for pointing it out (You wait.....)

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.
See! There was no need to trample all over my HSCC report in your Holly Birkett Boots, the popularity of this thread proves you just need a bit of gumption to get things rolling and you will soon find plenty of people willing to add there twopenn'ath. On any subject. In future take courage, grasp th...

Re: Classic Motor Show - 2008
Hi chaps and chapesses I've taken over the NEC organisation from Phil who is otherwise engaged. If you want to help man the stand, please contact me. Thanks Dave Ex BOTG member in the last century. Not being initiated into the more arcane Morgan practices - I have to ask. BOTG is that Bottom of the...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.
I note that the entry list includes 'Morgan Gentlemen' and amongst the drivers is one Sharlie Goddard! Last time I interviewed a Sharlie Goddard she was a Lady!
Is there something we should be told?

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.
Am I being over sensitive, or are you'se guys taking the mickey? Some of the imagery conjured up by Mary and Chris's interjections is hardly flattering to a man who raced for the Edgware Road Club both on the road and in cyclo cross. How many Morgan drivers road the North London Two Day? 90 miles fr...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.
Thanks Andy, I did wonder just what sort of posts this enquiry might attract, because, based on previous experience it could have ended up as a discussion on concours, square wheels, or Mark Shears culinary abilities!! I shall use the information to plan my day, and may I say I admire the concise pr...
