Re: Mike Bell

Very sad news indeed. I didn't really know Mike, only ever having brief conversations, but very much admired his driving - more recently in last years Techniques trophy at BDC. I don't recall why Mike, driving Simon OG's +4, started down the grid (presume some issue in quali) but he certainly made u...

Re: Brakehorsepower forum

I hope BHP continues - it really should, for the reasons others have already stated. BHP has been a great reference and place for discussion over the years. At least today I can say I am a [small] contributor rather than more frequently simply a browser.

Well done Ian - I guess your grandad would be equally delighted! Always nice to hear about other Supersports still out there.

Re: 1937 Morgan 4/4 back on the road after 47+ years

Colin, congratualtions!

What a super looking car. I hope you get the steering sorted to your satisfaction. After all the effort you've put into it to get it back to looking so good it would be a great shame if you can not go on to enjoy the rewards such a lovely car should bring.

regards,

Re: Super Sports Return to Le Mans in 2018

Latest entry list (#3) out today see: http://www.lemansclassic.com/wp-content/uploads/2018-lmc-entry.pdf Interestingly for us Morgan folks there appears to have been a change in Grids 3 & 4 with Grid 3 now including the cars from '62. So 6 +4s (how many Super Sports?) lining up. Going to be fun ...

Re: Annual Lunch

Hi John,

we've never needed to book the room previously, but out of courtesy we have always let them know we're coming. Unless you have already taken matters in hand I can give them a call.

Re: Classic Pictures

Hi Bill, not been on brakehorsepower for a little while so only noticed the photo you had uploaded today. I almost feel guilty having changed how the car looks - but I'll get over it. What a great photo though and thank you for uploading it. Shame there's no date on the photo but DLJ looks to be in ...

Last time a Series 1 won a race outright?

Hi All, the week before last I got very lucky with the weather (rain) and a handicapper having no history for me running the series 1 at Oulton Park. The result being that I won the VSCC 4 lap handicap race for pre-war sports cars on the International circuit. This got me thinking, prior to my good ...
