Autosport 14th June 2007

Does anyone have a copy of Autosport for last week - 14th June?

I think there is an article in there about 2CV racing which I would like to see.

If it was in the week before then that is the one I am looking for. Postage gladly refunded.

After many years of not beating her I got a bigger engine. Unfortunately it now seems that “ Sharlie is the new Mary ”.
You could always get a smaller engine again and come back to Class D. We have missed you Leigh.

Half shaft damage

Jack Bellinger has asked me to post this information on his behalf. I cannot stress strongly enough how important this is. Both Jack and I and others have had some pretty big accidents as the result of broken halfshafts. Don't delay, check today! Whilst at the last race at Snett last year I had my r...

It would be nice if someone (Andy, Jack, Keith ?) could continue to give us updates when you have time.
Andy was on holiday, Jack was crewing for Keith and I guess Keith was busy driving!
No doubt Keith will fill us in when he has time.

I have just heard that "Clink" Clinkard, who used to race a lovely single seater Alvis special, died last week. He was 86 and had been ill for some time although he never lost his wicked sense of humour. Some of us used to race with him in Formula Libre races at Snetterton. If anyone knew ...

We mounted ours vertically in the passenger footwell of our early Plus 8. I am told that this also works in a Plus 4.

As we are running the larger size we have 2 nozzles in the engine bay, one on the bulkhead and one at the front.

I recall Mary once winning the Series 1 trophy when all she did was go out and practice for one race and a wheel fell off. However that was more than any other Series 1 did that year. (Mary - is that correct ?) I did win it one year because mine was the only Series One doing anything but I can't re...

How sad, Frank was a lovely man. He raced the single-seater Rover special and I always thought he looked just like the Viking on the Rover badge.
We saw him racing often at Snetterton and at BDC.

Well done Richard on getting to grips with the points and awards with such commitment and enthusiasm.

Maybe this will breathe new life into some of our competition.
