Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.

Phillip Tis, Please excuse this juvenile humour. (above) I wonder - was Mark aware of your condition when he enstrusted you with the repair of his car at the HSCC? Maybe that is why he kept turning left when he should have gone right, on the other hand perhaps he always drives like that. Doesn't exp...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.

Tim, A fine exposition on the placing of apostrophes (plural) and one I trust all posters (plural) will read, learn and inwardly digest, it's (it is) apparent that we must all pay particular attention to our grammar so as to avoid glaring errors (plural) likely to give offence to pedants (plural). I...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.

Hi! Phillip, Yes! I am afraid that BBC issue, recording equipment let me down, but I am glad to say my own faithful Sony is back in action, so should you be at the Hayes this weekend we could try again. Failing the personal touch, we could record something via a phone line as I do need items of inte...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.

Jerry, I did consider including you in the survey, but as the bulk of your '20' were by other, less talented snappers, I decided that I should stick to Morgans and hide my shame.I must be honest and admit that I did not realise you were the driver of the Jaguar, put it down to the distractions of ma...

Re: Classic Motor Show - 2008

Dave, As a non-Morgan owner, and not possessed of a big motor car, I can not offer much help, although the lure of driving a Mighty Morgan to and from is appealing, however, as a well known provider of free photos to the fraternity, I can offer such to you if they would be of use. I can send a CD/DV...

Re: Where are they now?

Some right know-all's it seems, well I have another picture, probably from the same meeting, which shows a bunch of sports cars, open and tin top rounding Stowe Corner it has been taken from the entry to the corner. Right around the corner is what I am sure is a white Morgan, sans top, and too dista...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.

Mary, The answer is the sum of all of the pictures published by yours truly (no relation to Jarno), Lord Acklam and Eric Falce. Roger and John shared Roger's car, but it only displays 31D in all of the pictures, whereas it should bear 31A when manned by John, that is why a recount may be requested, ...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.

Well done again Chris, I can see that you do not lack in perspicacity. Though[quote] off [quote] course, you did your share in shaping the result and very well I may say, as long as it does not sound patronising to say so? Rochester? Is that in Kent by any chance? Mary, Once the cat is out of the ba...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.

Mary, PLEASE RE-READ the notes provided regarding criticism. I should warn that it is possible to manipulate the data used to determine the eventual result, and I have the technology to do it. You would not want to be stripped (hmmm?) of your title would you? Andy, You were almost right no one surpa...

Re: Holly Birkett Relay Race.

Mary, Maybe someone more perspicacious will work it out, so before I reveal all (so to speak) let us wait and see what other responses we may get. Let me say, however, that you should not be displeased with the accolade. Any suggestions? Anybody. Note; Please do not wander of piste when replying. BB
