Re: +4s vs Moss Box +8s

Lever arms probably didn't respond too well to racing on grass Jack!! I seem to remember Pembury was also another classic round of the now defunct Mog RallyCross championship!!

Re: BIG Calendar for 2008 Morgan +4's

Crikey Mary, we have to go back a bit. I remember great races with Jack, Chris, Peter et al when the +4s and the Moss Boxes were much of a muchness - I remember Jack, Chris and I had a fantastic race at Donington, 3 abreast down the back straight - brilliant. But as the novice Peter got his eye in a...

Re: BIG Calendar for 2008 Morgan +4's

To answer my own question on tyres!!! Please look at the Equippe GTS section, Avon's can be used if we can get our car above the minimum weights. (the Mogs were homologated at 760kg by the way!!). I've just noticed the comment in this section about Mogs not expecting to keep up with MGBs (!?).... a ...

Re: BIG Calendar for 2008 Morgan +4's

Hi john I spent 10 years competing with the +4 in the Mog championship - great place to find your feet and make the odd mistake among friends. However, the moss box +8s found another gear and the +4s became increasingly uncompetitive. This will be my 1st year with the HSCC - I chose this as I haven'...

Re: BIG Calendar for 2008 Morgan +4's

Hi Mark I've joined the HSCC and intend to compete in the 60's roadsports. I'm trying to do most of the races except Cadwell and Castle Combe. Once you add in the TT and possibly the MSCC S'stone International meet that still comes to a lot of racing. Added to which the 4-4 has been accepted at Le M...

Re: GT Racer on 'DAVE'

This weekend was the Spa 6 hour race....glimpses of Malcolm Pauls +4 and the Keith's +8. They failed to mention the +4s stunning result and seemed to spend too much time on Bronson's dodgy gearbox!!....as for the Cobra running out of petrol.....who would do a stupid thing like that !!!!!! (ahem) :oo...

Race Boots For Sale

Really nice pair of Race Boots for Sale. Worn once. No foot odour!! Was panic buy in case FIA boots required at Porto (they weren't!). However, they hurt me like buggary as mother bound my feet at birth and I now have short, fat feet. Boots are Sparco, in tasteful black suade, highish ankle (like de...

Transponder Wanted

Does anyone out there have a transponder surplus to requirements? Prefer a rechargeable one that can be swopped between two cars. Must be acceptable to the powers that be that run Historic Motor Sport. Alternatively, anyone bought one rececently and can recommend a supplier (ie cheap!!) Thanks john

Re: GT Racer on 'DAVE'

The good news is that DAVE is a Freeview channel so even those who would argue the toss over the price of a cable tie have access. And being DAVE, the programme will be repeated upteem times. As it happens, I did tape the 1st two shows....using my super duper whizzy hard disk / DVD player....I just ...

GT Racer on 'DAVE'

I have just watched the 2nd GT Racer put out by DAVE on Sunday lunchtime. The 1st program covered the Porto Grand Prix when you will see quite a few shots of Dion Kremer in XRX1 dodging the walls....if you're really patient, you will also catch a glimpse of Leigh in my 4-4LM narrowly avoiding crashi...
