Re: "Equipe"GTS - 2008

Hi John and John, Only my second race at Donington circuit and a great race to learn it quickly! Those MGBs are quick! But then again I know I need more power! A full width windscreen doesn't help! Even so had some great dices - and that's what it is all about. Back again with the HSCC this Sunday -...

Re: The Chris Lawrence Trophy

Mark, This is very exciting news - and very well done for not only formulating the idea in the first place and then getting the HSCC to adopt it but then getting Chris Lawrence to endorse it. And to design and make the Trophy to boot! Look forward to seeing you again at the first Chris Lawrence Trop...

Re: +4s vs Moss Box +8s

Hi John,

Interesting as this might be, I think this new topic might have the same response as Jon Ellisons equally interesting topic " What kind of power are you getting from your TR4 engines?" !!!

Cheers

Re: BIG Calendar for 2008 Morgan +4's

Hi John, I chose to race with the HSCC for my first season of racing last year. I had never raced before and I had rebuilt my Plus 4 as a fast road/rally car so it was a big learning curve for both of us! As you can probably tell I have completely caught the bug and raced in 13 events in my first se...

Re: BIG Calendar for 2008 Morgan +4's

Hi John, Really pleased to hear you are competing with the HSCC this year - its great fun. I have also entered for their first race of the season at Donington at the end of the month but have also got an entry to Jim Lowrys GTS Equipe race at Donington on Easter Monday. This is the first race of the...

Re: BIG Calendar for 2008 Morgan +4's

Hi John,

I agree - but it's not only a question of money but also time! I haven't got enough of either!

Thanks for the BIG Calender again this year - it's really useful. What are your plans for the Supersports this season?

Cheers

Re: ZANDVOORT 2008 - Possible Morgan Race for older cars

Hi Andy,

Any update on Zandvoort later in the season? Would be good if it was a longer, two driver race. Just trying to establish my racing commitments for this year!

Hey John, how about working out for us all another really helpfull "Big Calender" for Historic Plus Fours?!

Cheers,

Re: Silverstone track day

Hi John,

That would be really good of you - I am sure I am not the only one who would like to do a track day at Silverstone, especially with the opportunity of having some tuition. Also Feb 2nd is a bit too early in the year!

Cheers

Re: Silverstone track day

Hi John, I would love to go to the Silverstone track day but am reminded by Philip Tisdall that he and I have another (Morgan) commitment on that day that we just can't and don't want to get out of! Will there be another opportunity do you think at Silverstone? (preferably before the start of the se...

Re: trailers

Hi Richard, I am also looking at trailers and like you have found that second hand ones that are any good have either been sold or they are as much as a new one but less the VAT.So it looks like new is the way to go - you may pay a bit more but at least you know what you are getting. I reckon Brian ...

Re: Silverstone track day

Hi John,

Do you know if there are going to be any instructors available to give (paid) tuition on the day?

Many Thanks,

Re: Bob Bull's race photos

Chris - and especially Bob,

Thank you both for posting the photos -they are superb! I have spent nearly all morning looking at them instead of working!(fortuneately I'm on good terms with the Boss!)

I can recommend them to all Mog race fans - especially you Historic Plus 4 enthusiasts!

Cheers

BDC Silverstone 1969

Fascinating stuff Mary - I particularly like Robin Browns encouragement for MSCC Members to compete at the Hill Climb to be held at Valence as apparently "the amenities are excellent", but what should really pull 'em in is the comment "and the birds are usually pretty good too!" ...
