Re: who what where when
I have quite a few pics of 1974 relay and mainly London team including showing Rob Wells, Gyp & Jane Shaw, Malcolm Hayward and partner who had a Polish name (?), and a curly haired chap who maybe worked at Libra Motive holding a pit board which for some reason says ‘Herb’. On reflection maybe Te...

Re: My First Race (Morgan Challenge or other)
June 1969 in my immaculate new 4/4 I entered a Morgan Club sprint at Santa Pod with such ‘names’ as John Lindsay (Mr Mary), Rob Wells, Chas Smith. There were over 20 Morgans including three +8 cars which looks odd on entry list as they enter under Morgan 4/4 Club (as its name was then). Then Sep 197...

Re: who what where when
Kelvin – do you have a results sheet from that 1985 race as when I looked I couldn’t see Dave Sapp on it, whereas he is down for 1986. Which is why I think it is 1986

Re: who what where when
I recall someone showing me a photo that apparently they had shown to Peter Garland just before he went up the hill and rolled it. I will elaborate more in person. But there should be a ‘Role of Honour’ or a ‘Roll of Honour’ listing those who rolled their Mog and still drove it home Mr B from what I...

Re: who what where when
I didn’t look at the programs to see if there is a description of the cars. But surely Andy Garlick only raced MOG 615. There is a ‘short list’ of people who have rolled a Morgan and driven it home and I feel they should get a special trophy. I always tease Jeremy Holden when I see him as I remember...

Re: who what where when
Right I have delved into my archives. As I said (and happily repeat) in the 1985 Castle Combe Mog race I was 4th and Mary 5th. Jack 8th and Barry 10th. But no sign of Dave Sapp. So moving to 1986 there is a bigger grid and the winner was Grahame Bryant, followed by Jim Deacon, TMT (of the trophy), D...

Re: who what where when
Just (re) discovered this report and I like the account of the 1985 Morgan race where I was 4th and Mary was 5th . Those were the days. But no help with Jack’s photo. If that is me at the back I will have the results sheet in my archives https://www.morganchallenge.co.uk/Images/History/Morgans_at_Ca...

Re: who what where when
Why ? Only time you have been in the lead ? And why are you in John Milbank’s car – he is always no 15. If that is me I have the big wing mirror on so probably early 1980s but would need to delve into my archives. W reg came out 1980. Looks like about to be lapped as spectator looking to left. Looks...

Re: 1959 Morgan +4 Historic Race Car For Sale – SuperSports Specification
Escort appeared to be bought in by auctioneer boss Nick Whale who made some nice comments about Mike Bell. The Mog seemed to struggle to reach its sale price The Gilbern racer was cheap but then I saw on ten tenths chat it was bought by a group including Mike Bell’s sister Mary who hopes to race it ...
