Anyone who cycles that road is definitely a few spokes short of the full wheel ...Bob Bull wrote:Mind you, to have him describe you as 'bonkers' is a little harsh I think.

Re: Holiday reading
No-one knows Bob, least of all you... I tried cycle flying (courtesy of a French car door), which hurt. And surfing, which also hurts. http://i51.tinypic.com/2ypgjsz.jpg Not me in the photo - it just felt like that. Reading was less painful. The Art of Racing in the Rain was a pleasant little book, ...

Re: Holiday reading
Anyway Chris what sort of holiday are planning that you need literature to pass the time? Oh, the normal quiet sort - planning on going over the Col de Tourmalet, walking in the Pyrenean National Park, watching the world surfing championships at Hossegor, off-shore fishing, some bathing, surfing an...

Thanks Bob, I remember now that others have spoken very highly of Duncan Hamilton's book too. I will search it out. http://www.duncanhamilton.com/graphics/touchwood.jpg When Duncan Hamilton finally hung up his crash helmet almost the last of the immediate post-war racing drivers retired from the sce...

Holiday reading
While putting together my holiday reading list, I came across this book which came recommended and seems rather appealing - and unusually relevant for this forum. http://img1.fantasticfiction.co.uk/images/n53/n265341.jpg Enzo knows he is different from other dogs: a philosopher with a nearly human s...

Re: SLR's on the Radio
That reminds me of a Support story I heard recently in which the long-suffering tech guy said to the luddite at the other end "Right click on the desktop and tell me what menu you get". The answer was "I don't get any menu". "OK, please describe to me what you have just done...
