It's amazing what turns up after years and years - I was only talking to someone recently about the Rutherford lightweight cars - and then this turns up !

I wonder what engine was in it originally and what is in it now?

The advert states it as a +8, but if you go to the eBay advert it says the engine is 2000cc ?? I do recall Robin Gray racing a +8, but wasn't aware David Rutherford had prepared this car, I always thought he developed the racing 4/4.

Hi Eddie,

You are right Robin did race a modsports Plus 8 - the Lawrencetune Moss box car that now belongs to Tony Howard.

I agree - Dave Rutherfords plastic specials were more 4/4 than Plus 8 as they were all 4 cylinder cars.
