Turrino Alloy Rims

Post by Jochem Kentgens »

Anyone experience with Turrino Alloy Rims for racing on a TR engined +4?

I have read quite some articles about the lighter wheels, making a big difference in acceleration, bigger than normal weight reductions on the car. Theoretically understandable but does it really make a difference in real life?

I raced XOV on Turrinos and she rockets out of a corner but that could also have to do with it's Mass Racing engine.....

Looking forward to your experiences!

Hi Jockem,

Hope you are well and look forward to seeing you again this season.

I thought I would reply to you as nobody else has!

The silence tells you we don't have any experience with Turrino alloy rims...!

The FIA inspectors would have a fit if they knew we even thought about it!!!

Cheers

Thanks Mark, hope to see you this year at BDC meeting and maybe at Spa again...??

Also thanks for your response to the alloy rims matter.... I didn't even think about that, thought only rim size mattered....Well, for the better if they are not allowed because my Lord they are expensive...

Now the only remaining way to go faster seems losing weight myself....;-)

Best wishes, Jochem
