I know, John, but it is a long way out of town, my 1923 AA Route Map book does not have a main road anywhere near the place!

Hope the weather allows for a successful lunch. I'll be thinking of you all from hot sunny Perth. I'll be cracking open a beer or two watching the sun go down over the Indian ocean...... I'll just havie to imagine what the discussion topics may be......Marks flat rad progress, Bob's pre war map, latest acquisitions.......

As Andy would say

HAVE FUN!

There were 13 of us gathered to forget to toast your absence John, and we all had a wonderful time with some bright sunshine to cheer the day. Good company and decent English food beats a sweaty Australian beach any day, so bask in the Southern Hemisphere glory, while we ponder life, fate, Brexit, winter and the forthcoming Aero Challenge season.

Good to hear from you and wish you well in Perth where ever it is.

Happy New Year,

Bob.

PS; Your name came up several times but I am afraid I dare not mention the context. :)

"Crisis, what crisis - brexit, fog, storm surge, rail strike ??"

Looking forward to the minutes. Always a good read.

Sorry I missed it (again)

Hi
Great to meet up once again at the Leatherne Bottel and keep abreast of all the gossip.
Can't wait to get back on the race tracks again!

Yes a good pre-season get together indeed. Thank you to everyone who made the effort.

I see JD Classics have a Mercedes Gullwing for sale in this months Motor Sport Alan - the same colour as 818 AOA?

It was good to catch up and thank you Machiel and Ingrid coming all the way from Holland...!

So no excuses John! Have we got to collect those crankshafts from Oz?!

Look forward to seeing you all again at some windswept race circuit somewhere at home or abroad this season...

Cheers

Hi
I was wondering if someone would be posting re the Lunch at The Leatherne Bottle soon.
I am keen to attend again and I am free of commitments in January and February so open to any suggestions.
Best regards

Sounds good to me John.

And it is a week before the Bentley Drivers Club annual Competitions Day at BDC headquarters, Wroxton near Banbury.

What about it then - Saturday 20th January 2018 at The Leathern Bottle at Lewknor...

Cheers
