Bobby (as he was known to his gnome friends) sat down in his creaking old rocking chair, stroked his long white beard while he decided which story to tell the circle of eager listeners sitting round the fire and instantly fell asleep.....

Jack, you aren't concentrating!Wot the Listeners !!!
If you had carefully followed the grammatical construction of the text you would realise that it was Bobby who fell asleep, if I meant the listeners I would have said "who instantly fell asleep"
Apparently Bobby is still asleep as he hasn't yet started telling his story......

That is a more complex grammatical issue, what is your opinion?‘Who’ or ‘whom’
I never watched Dallas but maybe I was in it without realising it.I recall the Poison Dwarf was in ‘Dallas’
...and now back to the main plot - the seven grumpy dwarves became tired of waiting for old Bobby t tell his story so they started a game of consequences .....

" Who’ or ‘whom’
That is a more complex grammatical issue, what is your opinion? "
I have read and not understood many discussions about this question. Personally I always write 'who' on the basis it is correct about half the time.
But – to get back to the plot – as I recall it consequences involves folding the piece of paper after each line – now I don’t have a folding computer screen.
But – here goes –
The Poison Dwarf
…………..(fold)
