Still struggling!!!
The problem with drivers in the modern era is that the seasons have too many races so anyone that doesn't secure their title well before the end of their second season wouldn't stand a chanmce against my man! :!:
There arn't that many world champions - so come on guys and gals!

mi dispiace tanto
my nieces confused rear engine with driving on the wrong side of the road (i.e. the left)
they still plump for Giuseppe but the Scottish version

Hours of research required to interpret Peter et al's posts, however, the correct answer could be Denny Hulme, one of a number of World Champions I have met.

Toro Robbo.

And the winner is - Sir Robert Bull =D> =D> =D>
I didn't believe it when I first saw the stat - but Denny Hulme took only 26 races to secure his world championship - 6 in 1965, 9 in 1966 and 11 in 1967 before finishing 3rd behind Jim Clark and team mate/boss Sir Jack to clinch his title in Mexico.
To beat that today, someone would have to win the championship at their first attempt as the seasons have so many races now.
I picked up this stat from an interesting book on sale at the Bruce McLaren Museum in Auckland NZ in January - well worth a visit if anyone travels that way, but you need to let them know you are coming so they can open up!

Hulme--was he Italian? Did he have an Italian sister? Did he ever eat a bolognese?
ps I dispute El Toro as winner
If You choose the correct letters from my and Greggs answers and arrange them in the correct order they reveal "Denny Hulme".
so yah boo sucks

Petrous is probably brewed or fermented in Bobs part of the South.
Naturally I meant "Petrus"

Pierre as a life long abstainer from spirituous liquors I am unable to complete your request for a bottle of fermented grape juice, I do, however, possess a quantity of bubble wrap, sadly I am out of bubbles at the moment.

Dennis (Denny) Hulme was known as 'The Bear' for reasons beyond my ken. Let us hope that Mr Simon restricts his travels to countries that have no motor sport history, and thus save us from more of his tortuous puzzles.

Greenland maybe?

Very kindest of best wishes and felicitations to all in Sheffield.
