The backfire could be terrible though! :-& Be warned, Senakot will not make you drive like Senna. Whatever you do Peter, if you take Mary's SenaKot advice, do NOT go back to Zandvoort: the noise police will definitely stop you going fast there!!! [-X

Thank you Mary for your suggestions, however indelicate. Even I can see the time related faults in your proposals. In ones’ advanced years the urge and impulses so generated are, regrettably, too frequent, not just while strapped into a 5 point harness. It is also not entirely age related. I had only to wait 2 minutes into any car journey before one or all of my tribe wanting a widdle. Given the timely and relevant warning proffered by Simon please don't be offended if I don't add your proposals to this to my growing list.
ps
I am writing this without blinking.
pps
I am also writing this slowly for those who can’t read very fast.

Peter I did try to couch my suggestions in language that did not offend - however one has to be practical about such matters.
please don't be offended if I don't add your proposals to this to my growing list.
I would of course have no way of ascertaining whether or not you had adopted my suggestions except perhaps by your rapid lap times.

Perhaps all you need to do is fit a longer throttle cable, although of course your modern machine may not have such ancient technology.

I find it impossible to read without blinking, therefore I'm afraid I've missed some of your writings.

I have to admire anyone who, at nearly twice my age, still has ambition to improve in any form of human endeavour, particularly one so fraught with peril as motor sport. Man's constant urge to fly higher, go faster, sink lower sums up the human spirit, and helps explain the oft expressed desire of a certain member of our community to 'go faster' himself, however, I fear for the consequences. A sudden increase in speed with the concomitant rewards, silver ware, blue boxes, regular appearances at ceremonies, might well lead to a sate of euphoria and a sense of invulnerability leading to .............................. danger.

I would urge our good friend 'Go Faster Rafter' to re-consider his position, and perhaps settle for something more in keeping with his age and ability. I recommend an assault on the North Face of the Eiger, wearing sneakers, singlet, shorts and armed with a thermos of hot cocoa and a walking stick. This I feel is more achievable than 'going faster' in a Morgan. While the ascent may be slow the descent may well prove an effective way of going faster.

Alternative roads to fame and fortune could be in running a sub 90 minute marathon, riding the Tour de France non-stop (thus saving a lot of time), or by challenging Kim Jong Un to an arm wrestling match.

Canute could not turn back the tide, Icarus could not fly too close to the Sun, why seek to do the impossible?

Overcome by a deep wave of melancholy, sad and pensive I think I now understand how HAL , that iconic creation of Arthur C Clarke felt in that seminal passage when the lone survivor proceeds to deactivate the computer central core. Yes felt. The HAL 9000 was sentient. In its haunting monotone Hal pleads, it reasons, it shows remorse, sorrow, angst. Stop, will you stop, stop…… Hal feels its mind going.

How do I Go faster, Go fast, Go……

Apart from using 3D printers to produce a kidney , Medics now indulge in holographic diagnostics (holographic interferometric techniques) to produce full colour, dynamic and interactive images. Whatever next? (must ask Kelvin). Not so long ago you could be burnt at the stake for such heresy.
However if I can link this to my quantum particles Project (do keep up everybody) I could send a hologram of myself in the pretty red car to Snetterton.
Ps
Bob, you can finally put your Sinclair computer and abacus on e bay. The future lies in silicon.
A silicon computer works on a basic unit of information denoted as a 1 or a 0. A quantum computer exploits the weird properties of the atomic world to do something far stranger. Its unit of information, the qubit, can be both 1 and 0 at the same time. With just a handful of qubits you can produce as many permutations as there are atoms in the universe.

mea culpa
clearly the intense presssure in the laboratory , aside from impressive leaps in ones understanding of Fisics and mafematics , has thrown up the occasionianl error and false or unproductive trail.
The future is NOT silicon as previously implied but actually "quantum resistant algorithm transition". and therefore " Whilst a siiicon computer works on a basic unit of information denoted as a 1 or a 0, A quantum computer exploits the weird properties of the atomic world to do something far stranger. Its unit of information, the "qubit", can be both 1 and 0 at the same time. With just a handful of qubits you can produce as many permutations as there are atoms in the universe."
I am sure you will all be happy to know this. For those of you who bought silicon futures i can only reminfd you that shares can plunge as well as fall.

i can provide hindsight, some insight, but sadly very little foresight.

trouble with quanta is that one can end up in quite a state.

Caveat , Beware fake fiction.
Taking a wider canvass It has been suggested that Quantum computers will give us the power to easily model the microscopic and atomic world, potentially revolutionising drug development, chemical engineering and materials science. Yea verrily! Although who exactly am "us" is not entirely clear. The Jury is out whether it is Occams Razor. However, a quantum computer together with my particle ECU (under development) and yet tö be patented and still under wraps Quantum DFA Box should unleash to its full potential the pretty red car (even in the wrong hands).

I note that some chap has spent a fortune sending his sports car into space complete with a dummy driving it. The car is apparently a Tesla, and uses electricity as it motive power, causing one to wonder if there are 'charging points' in space? Regardless of this, potentially minor hitch, the venture might give our friend GFR inspiration when preparing his bolide for another season of Morgan racing, a minor alteration to the rules, an additional Class, another 'award' and; Hey Presto!
While the rest of the entry whizz around Snetterton, Peter could be winning the 'Interstellar, electric powered, with dummy' Class with negligible apposition, and no danger of being lapped by other than non-classified sputniks.

I foresee a rising star looming in the night sky.

I too marvelled at the photograph of the car and Starman circumventing the globe.
Would that I had the chance for such an adventure—I am at a loss as to why he didn’t ask me to pilot his roadster, although it is not pretty red. It is probably as well as it now seems that it is heading farther out into the Solar System than originally planned, as a rocket overshoot has sent it barreling toward the asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, a ring of small rocks and dust. The largest object in the asteroid belt is a dwarf planet called Ceres ( a goddess of fertility). Besides which I would not be back for Snetterton, or, heaven forbid, Spa.

As to your suggestion re the Aero Racing Morgan Challenge series there would be a minor obstacle called homologation ( be careful how you google this ). Neither Musk nor Edison invented the electric car.

Your reference to a "star looming in the night sky"— well i know I haven’t aged well and a life of debauchery and wantonness may have taken its toll— but when looking up at the night sky you are seeing even the most distant stars in the sky as they were less than 10 millennia ago.

If you have not yet made the transition to Suite B elliptic curve algorithms,”, “ it is recommended not making a significant expenditure to do so at this point but instead to prepare for the upcoming quantum resistant algorithm transition.”

I can only presume that all of you have been in thrall to the the ground breaking developments for the pretty red car and the somewhat arcane proposals for its Warden to garner more pace. However, on more mundane matters it would appear that, sadly, the racing harness is out of date and will need to be replaced for the forthcoming season. I have searched the FIA regulations, helpfully translated into the Saxon language for the diminishing band of non Anglophiles (Merci Monsieur Todt). These run to a multitude of pages and drawings for what is essentially a stretch of webbing very similar to which i spent endless hours buffing and applying coatings of blanco to in my compulsory Cadet days at School (many noons ago when HMG exerted much more influence on the international and world stage than the buffoons of today.). Regrettably in the FIA regulations I can find no reference to said webbing being able to withstand the strains and pressures applied by my gravity assisted, superconductivity magnetic driven, particle ECU, quantum DFA Box, pretty r,ed car. I am distraught.
Far be it for me to suggest that a suitable compensating offering to the scrutineers (which could not be possibly construed as a bribe) would provide a solution. But I now need to seek alternative suggestions…

my daughter assures me that, having the majority of my body tattooed with esoteric and eclectic figures and languages in the manner of many sportsmen and F! drivers of today, will not make me go faster.
