Contrived joke linking to the Peter Rafter saga…..

So the genie said –

‘’Young Peter – if you want to go faster then bring me a little lamb, and a wild pig (a boar), or if you prefer a bore (there are lots of those in the Morgan world)

I will then build you a 200 mph supercar and we could call it a

Lamb – boar – genie ‘’

That’s my contribution for this year folks

Meanwhile, back at the cave, Aladdin was trying to see if the filament in the magical lamp was blown or not.

He rubbed it to clear away the grime and dust of many years and the genie appeared again.
"What do you want this time?" he asked irritably. "If it's that Lafter chap wanting more speedy secrets tell him to get a lamp of his own - I can only have one master...."

"So solly" said Aladdin, "I just wondered how I can get into the cave of many seclets?"
"That would be telling" said the genie and disappeared back into the lamp.

O mighty Prince, inventor of the short circuit, pray what is the secret of your flickering luminescence ask Aladdin (an impoverished young ne’er-do-well who drives a technically obsolete horseless carriage). In the dank and gloomy cave a heartrending cry is heard ‘O for the the want of a fuse’
In the confusion he rubs his ring (sic). In a cloud of smoke the holistic genie appears and quoth “ I will grant you 3 wishes “
A little taken aback, Aladdin ums and ers and finally blurts “Firstly….

After the 'incident' with the Camel - he has vowed never to smoke again - Aladdin has become just the man for the job. He is now on light duties.

"You have only one wish left, use it wisely" said the genie.

"I'd like a bit of time to think about that" said Aladdin.

"What do you desire most of all in the world? asked the genie.

"Me like go velly fast and beat Peter Lafter in pletty red car..."

"
I'd like a bit of time to think about that"
said Aladdin.

Ah! Sadly that was his third wish, so poor of Aladdin was fresh out of luck, silly boy.

Meanwhile abacus expert Tee Lees grew angry reading all about 'pretty red cars', and wondered why pretty yellow cars were never mentioned, particularly as yellow was an appropriate shade for the Panto! With a click of his beads he set about disproving Crafty Rafty's theory of he party pickle distribution, and leading at every corner in a Spa somewhere in Belgum, all at the same time. "No sensy" he cried "I'm avantec none of that.

So the plot just like a bowl of porridge, thickened.

Luckily for Aladdin the word "wish" was not used as he was simply expressing a hope and not a wish and so the genie was not yet released from his obligations (MSA blue book page 3,461, para23g)

And so Clafty Lafty and Tee Lees were able to continue their search in the murky cave for any old bits of scrap that might make their steeds more rapid.
