I have run out of Cognac.
Should I be worried?

Oh yes of course you should. Order some from Sainsburys asap.

For those familiar with Peter Ustinov's Grand Prix of Gibraltar you will remember that Cognac was used in the Orgini pit by the French team manager.

For those who haven't come across it yet I recommend it as essential listening for all motor racing enthusiasts. Available on Amazon

Bob, i am not entirely sure that coffee will have the desired effect as a definitive test for Coro as opposed to the testing procedure which I can vouchsafe has proven effective over many days, albeit with some detrimental side effects, including severe depletion of my fine wine stocks.
Coffee, as you are probably aware, contains caffeine, which is a central nervous system stimulant. It is s considered to be the most commonly used psychoactive drug in the world. It can have negative side effects in some people, including anxiety, restlessness, trouble sleeping and interfere with effective breast feeding. it can promote addiction, dependence and withdrawal. Side effects include flushed face, diuresis, and gastrointestinal complaints.and may accelerate bone loss, notwithstanding the autonomic effects of increased blood pressure and heart rate, and increased urine output.
I rest my case.

Tony, how did such a situation come to pass? You may need to have strong words with the keeper of your household. In these strange times I understand that many are hoarding “essentials “ such as Toilet rolls and Vim. However, many fine cognacs are still available and can be be obtained at little more than the cost of a set of a VSCC approved Longstone or Dunlop tyres

I also have a CD version of the unforgettable Ustinov. A very fine polymath and a loss to motor racing and the world at large.

Peter,
Methinks Tony is referring to some green elixir, 95 yrs old, in his ownership. Perhaps he has sold it?

Hi Andrew,

Yes I was thinking exactly the same thing...!

Perhaps it is only you and I (and Tony?) who are on the same wavelength?!

Hope you and yours are keeping well as we go in to Lockdown 2 - and of course the same goes to all, and not just on this particular thread.

All the best everyone,

Cheers

Mark

Great minds think alike, Mark and Tony,
Apparently Bristol has more Covid 19 cases than Liverpool, so we'll see how it goes. I think Dec. 2nd for release is a bit early, and I'm sure there'll be another surge in January, just to cheer you all up.

Mark's sentiments to all.

Green, elixir, 95 yrs old. I think Rafterwriter had his mind set on a trip down the M1 to Arnesby to a private tasting session of vintage Chartreuse or Absinthe.
Keep well all.

I believe drinking coffee will alleviate the symptoms of Covid-18, maybe one needs cognac for Covid-19!!
