Record Entry at Morgan Sports Car Club race meeting
at Donington Park on Monday 30th May
The Morgan Sports Car Club is, for the first time, holding its annual race meeting, the Peter Morgan Memorial Meeting, at Donington Park on Monday 30th May. This meeting is usually held at Mallory Park but with ever increasing grids and the opportunity of holding the race meeting at Donington it was decided to move.
The meeting has attracted a record entry of 45 Morgan Morgan 4-wheelers and there is also a race for the exciting Morgan 3-wheelers.
Tony Oliver, Secretary of the meeting and Morgan Sports Car Club Competition Secretary says:
“We are delighted. This is an incredible entry and is the largest ever entry of Morgans at a race meeting.”
The Morgan Challenge Race Series is a one-make race series for Morgan sportscars, sponsored by Aero Racing, the performance arm of the Morgan Motor Company, and supported by Yokohama Tyres. Aero racing is having a display in the paddock and have entered their new +4 super Sports to be driven by Billy Bellinger. There is also a lunch time parade of Morgans of all ages.
Racing is certain to be close and exciting. Five of the races are exclusively for Morgans and other races include a round of the BCV8 Championship with the RAFMSA Challenge, Caterhams in the Magnificent Sevens Challenge, a round of the MGCC Thoroughbred Sports Cars Championship, the Morgan Three Wheeler Club Racing Championship and Saloon and Sports Challenge race with Morgan 4-cylinder cars competing for the Techniques Trophy.

Jim, yes of course, please do!
It is the basis of a press release I have issued on behalf of the Challenge series.
The more circulation it gets the better.
