Circuit up-date

Post by Bob Bull »

As you might be aware, MotorSport Vision circuits (Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Donington Park, Oulton Park and Snetterton) are in the process of reopening on a gradual basis in line with the government’s phased strategy, and trackdays and testing are now taking place.

Please be advised that under the guidelines, and our COVID-19 operational protocols, it is not possible to admit media or members of the public to any of our venues at this time. As soon as this situation changes, we will email you to advise.

For the avoidance of any doubt, whilst these protocols are in place and until further notice, please do not attempt to gain media access to any MSV venue as you will not be admitted.

Best wishes,

Claire

Hi all

Perhaps Bob you could volunteer as a marshal? Orange would complement your skin tones!

I was hoping one of he plutocrats among the Challenge fraternity might want a 'Personal Photographer' along side their 'Personal Trainer', 'Driver Coach', and Physio.

I am posting this as received in an e mail from a centre secretary. Have no idea if it is true. Perhaps those entered have received this info or perhaps Katy can confirm.

''From the MSCC FaceBook page

The Morgan Challenge is back! MotorSport Vision have confirmed that spectators will be permitted to attend the MG Car Club race meeting at Donington Park on Sunday 12 July, where the Peter Morgan Memorial Trophy race will take place. Admission is by season pass or advanced purchase ticket only. There will be no paddock access for spectators. Tickets will remain on sale until 14.00 on Wednesday 8 July. Tickets, and further information about MSV’s Covid19 arrangements can be found online at www.MSV.com''

Katy has confirmed that Donington Park is now allowing spectators into the circuit, however they will not be allowed into the paddocks.
There is a very good turnout of Morgans with about 30 cars on the grid.

As an ever hopeful entrant in the Donington Rce I have received 4 electronic tickets. I don't have that many supporters even after discounting my disloyal family who prefer Sailing, Wild water swimming and Football.
So MGCC must be expecting spectators...
there were interminable forms and queries associated with entry, and multiple anxieties re social distancing, who can do what etc.
Nevertheless E pur si muove or Eppur si muove

Peter they are for your ‘team’ – your mechanics, nutritionist, therapist, florist, manicurist and pretty red car polisher. Sailing, wild swimming and football (in one part of Sheffield) all sound attractive alternatives.
Impressive entry.
Hope it goes well. I will follow on TSL. And no kissing and hugging. Hopefully with social distancing there wont be any cars bumping.

A need for an extra ticket or two might arise, so if anyone has surplus, I would appreciate them. This is just a back-up so do not go short yourselves.

I think that as all tickets are delivered by e.mail, a similar method of transmission should be OK.

I have my own Media accreditation, and will be in action with camera and pen recording events, so look forward to shouting 'Hello' from a safe distance to you all.
