Why ? Only time you have been in the lead ? And why are you in John Milbank’s car – he is always no 15.
If that is me I have the big wing mirror on so probably early 1980s but would need to delve into my archives. W reg came out 1980.
Looks like about to be lapped as spectator looking to left.
Looks like 1980s hairstyles.
Child on chair bored looking other way – perhaps I brought my son with.
The corner coming onto start / finish.
I had a cheese sandwich for lunch

The Morgan Challenge started in 1985, I don't remember there being many races before that with a lot of Morgans in them.

Was it a cheddar cheese sandwich Leigh?

Agree with Barry, looks like Castle Combe - perhaps Camp Corner - was spectator banking not so high then?

Just (re) discovered this report and I like the account of the 1985 Morgan race where I was 4th and Mary was 5th . Those were the days. But no help with Jack’s photo. If that is me at the back I will have the results sheet in my archives

https://www.morganchallenge.co.uk/Image ... _Combe.pdf

‘’The final six laps featured a dice between the Plus 8s of Bob Stuart and Tony Morgan-Tipp, which Stuart just edged by 0.4 sec. Third, and first 4-cylinder car home, was Barrie Taylor’s 4/4, ahead of Leigh Sebba and Mary Lindsay (Plus 8’s)’’

Right I have delved into my archives. As I said (and happily repeat) in the 1985 Castle Combe Mog race I was 4th and Mary 5th. Jack 8th and Barry 10th. But no sign of Dave Sapp.
So moving to 1986 there is a bigger grid and the winner was Grahame Bryant, followed by Jim Deacon, TMT (of the trophy), David Raeside and I have a hand note that he had 4 Dellorto carbs so obviously a ‘hot’ +8 inn the days when regs were more open and results by the Spencer Formula. Then Bob Stuart, me, Rick Bourne, Kelvin L, Jack B, Andy Garlick, Barrie Taylor, Barry Sumner and numerous others (18 finishers inc the Sarge plus 5 retired inc Dave Sapp and Chas W)
But – I also have a hand note on bottom which says – To make more interesting Bryant started from back with 20 sec penalty and four others started at back with 10 sec penalty - Jim Deacon, TMT, David Raeside and Chas
If the number on the green +8 is a 10 then it is Jim Deacon

The retirement of Mr Sapp was because he rolled it if I remember rightly

Didn't that happen in 1985? I wasn't there in 1986 (maternity leave....)

I remember dicing with Rick in XOV at Castle Combe and one year he bent XOV and we helped him get it back to his sister's house. Maybe that was also the year that Dave Sapp rolled his?

Of course Dave Sapp drove it home, no doubt towing his caravan to boot =D>
Rick B bent XOV at Silverstone - BDC??? - and that's another story

I didn’t look at the programs to see if there is a description of the cars. But surely Andy Garlick only raced MOG 615.

There is a ‘short list’ of people who have rolled a Morgan and driven it home and I feel they should get a special trophy. I always tease Jeremy Holden when I see him as I remember him doing it.
