Rear Spring Front Bushes

Post by jack bellinger »

I have just had a look at my Rear spring Front bushes ..They are a little bit hard to see ,, I just thought I would have at look at them , as the front seat was out .. Totally Sh>>>ed . the bushes are in 2 bits no rubber left at all both sides completely gone..
probably explains why the back steps out so much !!!!
You can see where the Spring U/bolt base has been hitting the Chassis ,,.
The axle was moving about 3/4inch ..( thats what you call creepage) The next stage would have been that the spring bolt would have worn through and probably sheared ..

If you race and cant look at it yourself get your Man to check them (saftey issue)
The bushes are available

Jack if the fronts are that worn out then I bet the back bushes are also worn out or seized on the bolts; same goes for the springs they will be seized or have wear ridges in them hampering the proper sliding action – take it all out Jack.
Looks like your little look will mean lots of work!!!
