Why is one side of my V8 hotter than the other?
Twin H8 SU.
Exhaust temps:
Bank A 120 deg
Bank B 220 deg

Sounds like one or two cylinders might be missing – duff spark plugs or leads!

With your wonderful new Thermometer aim it at each ex port in turn and measure (when eng warm)

After you run under load for a while kill ignition and check plug colour it can give a good clue to where the problem stems from
