6" wire wheels

Post by Jim Mountain »

Has anyone got 4 wire wheels taking up space in the corner of a shed/garage they want rid of?

If you only have one or too I'd still be interested.

I'm after 15" x 6" cobra wires, same as fitted to +4's.

I'm not too worried about a bit of scabby paint or light rust, as unless there in mint condition, they'll be off to the powder coaters.

Cheers Jim

Hi Jim
I’ve got 4 x Cobra wire wheels 6 “x15” that were on an early Plus 4 of mine which are for sale and in good condition but painted mid blue!!
Send me a PM with a phone number and I’ll give you a ring.

Hi Jim,

I'm sure Richard's blue ones will look perfect on your light blue 4/4, but if you prefer silver or black I have a choice of "new old stock" wheels at bargain prices.
Give me a call at the New Elms workshop.

Best regards, Tim Ayres.

Hi Jim, I would think again about powder coating...I had mine powder coated, and am not happy, they need shotblasting again, and then I will paint, which is a bit more flexible...

I have a set in yellow on the car already, had them powder coated, they seen ok so far but they've only done 1000 miles so a bit early to tell.

Are you still doing the Speed championship? Might get to a few sprints/hillclimbs this year.

Hi Jim,
No, I stopped competing after my disaster at Aintree! Hope to come along and watch some though.
