trailer bed

Post by Richard Smith »

I need to replace the trailer bed: originally was that expanded steel mesh stuff, I covered it over with concrete shuttering ply wood, which is now not very good. Any suggestions please?

Hi Richard

Try Suredeck.

http://www.nonslipshop.co.uk/page.asp?id=suredeck

It is a non slip, resin impregnated plywood. Available in different thickness'. I used 9mm for the new floorboards in Millie. I liked the non slip aspect and it looks like carbon fibre if you paint it black

Cheers

Hmmm, having just loaded the Mog onto the trailer for tomorrow's Debden sprint, maybe re-bedding is a bit more urgent! Good job I left the expanded steel stuff in place!

Hi Richard,
I used an 8' by 4' sheet of aluminium 5-bar tread plate that when cut fitted mine perfectly.
Just over £100 if recall.
