Anybody aware of aluminium valve caps for a +4 with TR4 engine?
We ordered caps in a large package of parts from TR enterprises but these are steel and we were told aluminium caps are not commonly used....
We use them on other cars and they are an easy win in revs...
any experiences?
Thanks, Jochem

John Mac used to use alloy valve collets , but I was informed many years later that the softness of the metal caused them to stretch slightly in use, therefore the idea was dropped. I never experienced any issues, but today's TR engines are tuned much closer to the limit, so I suspect such issues are more critical.
