I wouldn’t call it ‘gossip’ but a big shock to hear that Richard Gilbert passed away suddenly. I dealt with him quite a bit as I had a couple of cars he photographed for MOG magazine.

An amusing memory of him was when he was photographing my Morgan +4+ at Precott and he was huddled in the boot of a small hatchback in front of me as we both drove up the hill.

Always smiling, always enthusiastic.

Very sad news :(

Richard Gilbert
Im sad and sorry to hear the news.
His father in law was my dentist for many years in Droitwich.
His welcoming smile will be missed.

my posting on Richard fell foul of the editing..
Richards father in law John was a dentist and he and his wife were stalwarts of the then fledgeling Rugby Club (early 1970s).. he (John) once administered stitches pitchside to a head wound I had incurred in a not so friendly encounter with a team from Gloucester ...
At race meetings Richard always kept me posted on his in laws. I will miss Richards welcoming smile and demeanour

It is a very sad loss, he was such a charming and cheerful person.
We shall miss him and the paddock will be a poorer place without him.

So sorry to hear about Richard who seemed such an integral part of our paddock. Such a friendly chap. Will be sadly missed.
