Re: Hotel near Silverstone - recommendations
We have stayed at the Premier Inn which is behind the Green Man at Syresham close to the circuit.
The Premier Inn has basic comfortable accommodation but does not serve any meals. The Green Man is immediately in front of the Premier Inn and this is where you can get breakfast and other meals. It is a popular place to eat so if you plan to dine there book a table.

Travelodge at Towcester is convenient and not too noisy if you get room at back – but no bar or food !
Have once stayed at Silverstone Golf Course hotel which was nice if you can get it at a reasonable price
There is usually bar / BBQ at circuit on the Friday night but no accommodation (Snoozebox seems to have closed down)

From Silverstone's web site, might be worth a look.
Bob
Will you be bringing the children, as that might make a difference at some hotels?

Jochen,
What are your requirements for the Saturday night? I could ask amongst some of the marshals who live locally, and may know of someone nearby doing bed & breakfast, I know that many do for the Grand Prix weekend.

Jochem and Bob,
I used to stay with Mrs. B. Smith, Slapton Manor Farm, Slapton. Towcester. NN121 8PF , about 15 minutes from the circuit.

Many a marshall and driver stay there, and the breakfast is second to none. There is plenty of space for cars and/ or trailers.
Good luck.
Andrew
