You will find some great photos of racing at Mallory Park on the Challenge web site by Gary Clarke and Simon Scott.

Re: Web site updates 2018
Pictures from Simon Scott? How the mighty have fallen. He of a class win on Le Continent (Zandvort or Assen, I forget which). He as a scribbler and voyeur of feats of endurance, skill and derring do on the track. And in an ever descending spira, He resorting to hiding behind one of Bobs press bibs and infringing image rights of our noble brotherhood. Is there no shame? Whatever next? Note to Carole double the tablets.
ps
pretty good pics. I must retrieve my Brownie 127 box camera from the loft. It could cope with stationary objects but was hopeless at moving things.(cue unwarranted snide comments re the pretty red car)

Peter, armed only with an antique Box Brownie, you can still produce fantastic action pictures. The knack is to find a suitable car stationary in he paddock, and take a picture while running past ………. Oh forget it. Silly me.

Re: Web site updates 2018
Forgive me Peter for I have sinned...I did not even resort to a Press Bib. Instead I masqueraded as a humble spectator with box brownie in hand, sneaking from corner to corner.
Carol has already doubled the dose - what do you suggest now? [-o<
I did suggest to Tim Parsons that he provides a car for me to compete in Class R again so that he can score more points rather than being the sole representative of his class - but sadly to no avail...

Ego te absolvo!
It is the undeniable right of every human being to make a fool of himself.
Note to Carol--double his wine intake.

Re: Web site updates 2018
Entry form and regs for the final round at Snetterton and the pit stop race are now on the Challenge web site.
The latest points table is also on the web site.
It is very close at the top:
Brett S – 96
Phil T – 94
Tim P – 97
Tony H – 95
Snetterton here we come because as we know, anything can happen!!

Re: Web site updates 2018
Well at least one of the contenders is praying for rain.
I predict a four cylinder car will probably win too.

Re: Web site updates 2018
I woz niver murch gud at ard soms, but;
If my calculations are correct, and assuming that each of the contenders; a) has the required three runners in class. b) wins class and makes fastest lap, then the positions would be;
Brett 101 points
Tony 100 "
Phil 99 "
Tim 99 "
These are not official figures of course, but they certainly must put the pressure on them all.
I'm off to Ladbrokes to see what odds are on offer.

Re: Web site updates 2018
I have checked the maths, and (I did warn you) I believe the position, assuming the same provisos, then;
Tim currently on 99 points after two dropped scores would drop another 8, but pick up 11 + 102
Brett on 96 drops 6 adds 11 + 101
Tony on 95 drops 8 adds 11 = 98
Phil on 94 drops 8 adds 11 = 97
Will class runners come out to ensure the chance of full points for their runners?
Is it possible that a certain amount of knobling could scupper rivals chances?
Will team orders be enforced where necessary? [-X
An intriguing day is in prospect, and there is always the possibility of winning the Gilbert for any disgruntled losers.

Re: Web site updates 2018
All bribes welcome - or perhaps I could remove 4 plug leads and enter as a 4 cyl car to make up numbers in a class if needed ?
Re: Web site updates 2018
Looking at the regular runners in each of the Classes, the Championship cold easily be decided by who does or does not turn up at Snetterton. I suspect Tim and Phil we working the phones to drum up entries, and Brett will be hoping that Jack stays home, while Tony must be feeling rather happy about the situation.
I am sure that if this were F1 we would have interminable scenarios about "If he finishes second and only two entrants start" etc. etc.
Whatever the outcome on things is certain, there we be a new name on the list of champions.
Should be exciting.
