Unofficial position of Challenge points after Silverstone.

Craig Hamilton-Smith 103

Jack Bellinger 99

Andrew Thompson 96

Tony Hirst 94

With just three rounds to go dropped scores will now come into effect, if I understand the rules correctly the maximum score would be ten wins with fastest lap to boot meaning 110 points.

All still to play for.

Phillip Tisdall is on 87 points

Steve Lockett is on 83

You may yet be on to a winner Phil, as Phillip T has already three 'no scores' to drop so can only add to his total, whereas the other main contenders will all lose some unless they 'no score' over the next three outings.

The plot thickens.

NB. At the start of the season Phillip told me he would not be doing many rounds so I discounted him …… Sneaky eh?

Hi Bob - do you need a research assistant for your reports. Thanks for report which was very informative and to add....
Mark Butterworth has raced an Allard so he should find a Morgan pretty easy !
Paul Voakes has also done some past racing such as VW ‘fun cup’ and has posted video of Race 1 on you tube.

I await your further report covering the Techniques buffet

Dear Leigh,
This is a Morgan forum, and reports are written for the Aero Challenge web site, be assured if some six times World Formula 1 Champion turned up in a Morgan, to race in the Challenge, he would get no special treatment from me. Anything a driver may have achieved in a former life counts for nothing here. In any case if this Butterworth chap is so famous how come he appears as Mark in race one and Sam in race two? Is he doubly famous in the Allard world?
Has he a split personality? Perhaps there are two of him …… I will have to do some research.
As to the VW Fun Cup! Pah! How obscure can a chap be.

I should point out that they both got their picture taken, the same as everyone else. No bias with the camera.

Aha - caught you there Bob - from my modest research no driver has won it six times although Schumacher has won it seven times and unfortunately he is unlikely to turn up.

Of course next year I am sure LH will be desperate to enter the Morgan Challenge

Prost four times, Fangio, five times, Schumacher seven times. These are the greats LH is just a poser, and not worth mentioning in the dame breath as the true Champions. I sincerely hope he never enters the Challenge. I could not stand the constant adulation he would demand.

PS; Vettel also has four titles, and is twice the man Lewisham(h)ilton is.

I rest my trunk.

Beware!!
it could be that Messrs Butterworth are fiendishly clever. They raced under false pretences. A quite blatant deception that went unnoticed Towit, No 47 belongs to the pretty red car in class J . Either that or they half=hinched it and surreptitiously resprayed it in Bumble's old colours.
This sis a case for Hercule and Inspector Japp.
ps
sad to read of the carnage in Bobs report. Is there any good reason why the safety car stopped or slowed dramatically?
