LMC 2022 ? Morgan +4 Entries

Post by John Clarke »

Eight +4's appear on the first entry list, 6 cowled and 2 flat rads

John's Super Sports (now in Switzerland) and flat rad +4 (now residing in Guernsey) - neither are entered

All the cowled +4s are prepared to Super Sports spec but so far none are the factory originals. Will there be room for TOK and FOJ?

The two flat rads are prepared to Lawrie/Isherwood Le Mans spec with twin SUs.

The drivers and entrants are

This is the initial LMC accepted entries........further updates expected in February.

Should be a bumper year for Morgan.

Hi John,

Hope you and yours are all keeping well and not getting too hot...?!

You won't be surprised to learn that Keith and TOK are also in.

Will we see you at Le Mans too?

Cheers

Dear All,

I plateau 3 you find a Deep Sanderson 301. Built in 1961. Some people have a lot of fantasy................

But, I look forward to see that car in the final results of the race.

Machiel.

I noticed that one of the French Morgans is taken out of the entry list (the ex Rasmus Lokvig car I think). Instead they let in Gael Regent (also French) with the burgundy car with GWP registration (the ex Kremer car). No TOK, no XRX and no FOJ yet.... and no Dutch Morgan team in PRL100....:-((( YET!

Well...just received confirmation today that my 1963 #5719 plus four is on the reserve list for grid 3...

We are amongst the first 6 cars on the list which means that we will enter the day and night practice sessions, and we can start the race if other cars on grid 3 fail to make it to the start. We have accepted this position. So we will go to Le mans just like in 2018 but this time with my red car... we will be prepared... and statistically we will... eh.... still fingers crossed....!!!

Well looking at the Grid 3 entry I see one of them is ‘Prince of Denmark’ who, if it is the same one, the news says is presently in hospital after a ski accident. Although the news also says it was only a minor injury.

Jochem I will keep you posted if I see any other signs for hope.

Cant see (or maybe I don’t recognise) many really big celeb names on the lists but Grid 3 does have a Brundle – maybe the same who raced in the Snetterton Willhire 24 hours of early 1980s and became a star

Le Mans Classic 2020 will not happen OFFICIAL

https://www.lemansclassic.com/language/en/home/

Refunds for competitors will be available after LMC return to work but a 10% charge will be made.

Spectators also may (try) and get their money back but no information whether it will be in full or not....but I doubt it.

There will be a Le Mans Classic now in July 2021 and competitors and reserves can keep their entry from 2020 should they leave their money with LMC.

......but will any of the cars or drivers still be running in a years time?

Shades of 1966!
