is there any advantage/disadvantage with a folding windscreen for sprints?
many remove theirs , but i have a heated screen and deflectors?

My 4/4 has a heated screen and deflectors too but I still used to remove the screen. I had that Simmonds chap fit a quick release connector to the heated screen. I guess you could get soemthing from Holden or even Halfords.

Two observations to make here:
1 Surely when you fold the windscreen flat, the wires for the heated screen are going to be under tension (unless you have the special elasticated wiring fitted to early Fiats) and therefore a plug is going to be required anyway.
2 Scrutineers may insist that you remove the screen rather than fold it down flat as it may be seen to be a safety concern. I wouldn't fancy the windscreen being forced towards my head edge-on if involved in an accident.
